Officiating IMO is a game condition just like the field, crowd and your opponent. It will never be perfect and teams just need to deal with it. On the highest levels of sport it is a hot topic with people always questioning the calls. Right now on Sportscenter you hear something about the refs in NBA playoffs games, and every Monday in the fall there is a topic on NFL officials. I know I am saying this now with my team getting a lot of breaks but the best teams always seem to get the calls on every level. My opinion has always been that officiating will never be perfect and it is your job as a team to over come those bad breaks and take advantage of the good ones. Totally agree. Congrats to Billings on taking down the Storm three times in one season and all but finishing their chances on making the playoffs. I still feel bad for the Storm players and coaches as far as the other off-the-field losses handed to them, but nothing to be done about that. The Storm had the best run in indoor football history and I have no doubt they'll be dominating again next year.

My hat is off to the Outlaws. They were the better team this year. I know very little of what happened in the games, but you don't lose 3 games to an opponent and blame it on anything else. The Storm had a great run. A run like that is hard to sustain for a couple of seasons, let alone 4. It had to stop sooner or later, but it was a hell of a ride! I hope the fans don't forget we still have games left. I hope to be back in the States for the Bandits game. It has pained me to not be able to see or hear these games. I feel responsible in a way, as I was unable to watch the game in my #7 jersey. We never loose when I wear that....I will wait for the season to actaully end before I start the discussion on next years teams and league affiliations....

It has been hard to sit back and watch what has happened to the Storm players & coaches. It is what it is though. Beating Sioux Falls on the field has proven extremely difficult and Billings has done it 3 times this year. It will be interesting to see if anyone can stop them on their way to a title. What an amazing run the Storm have had at home! Now I can't brag (to myself) about being part of the last team to beat them at home. I have nothing left ha ha Now SF can go from the hunted to the hunter again.

Yep, when the teams are in the UIF next year...or AF2...or whatever, unless they're dumb enough to stay in the IFL with all the crap going on in this farce of a league.
And if they're that dumb, it's time for people to find new hobbies. At least the NIFL was competent for its first four years until the UIFers decided they wanted to run it themselves (and then found themselves scrambling on the outside after CS wished them well in their endeavor).

my bias and backbone... oh boy, you really shouldn't have.
first of all you must realize the myopia that standing in section O and the the Sioux Falls Arena give a person. the sight lines are horrible, the crowd lives and dies with each play. And staring down the barrel of your first home loss in 4 years the only thing that mattered on each play is whether each play was a plus or a minus. there were a few horrible enforcements, which is in excusable, but in no way do I feel that our refs were any more or less biased than the refs in Billings. As a person that lives and dies with each play, each down, each catch, each drop, it was tough to watch the complete demise of your team right in front of you. It was hard to watch, even harder to comment on it so quickly afterwords. I have given the Billings coaches and players nothing but the respect they deserve for pulling off what very few have over the years. Outlaw, I have no idea where you have any room to comment on how the officiating was so horrible. You just beat the Storm at their place, shouldn't that alone be enough? Good teams overcome bad officiating. The Storm did it for 4 years more often than not. Now the torch has been passed.

On a side note to the Storm front office who I know lurk on this board. That was the single most embarrassing game day production in years. wow, just wow. It's amazing how bad it was.

I realize your myopia. I was just wondering if you honestly thought that game was fairly officiated. But, you think what you think and it is what it is. Don't you still have a shot at the playoffs?

if the game in billing was fairly officiated, this one was too. I'm sure it was poor, but I was at the game and have a completely different vantage point with no replay boards, no B2, no radio commentary to help me see things I missed.
We are mathematically alive, but Wichita has to loose to River City AND Alaska at home, and we have to beat Fairbanks and Sioux City, both of whom would LOVE nothing more than to knock off the reeling and physically decimated Storm at home. We may have lost 4 starters for the year in 2 weeks against Billings.. it's been rough

So essentially, you need Alaska to beat Wichita. Good luck with that. It's been an honor to sweep you. Reload next year, we'll see if it is in the same league. It must feel strange to be on the receiving end of a beat down. You've enjoyed it for way too long. Good luck to you Texx.

Committee and the other loser owners a debt of gratitude for keeping the Storm out of the playoffs. The best team (Billings) may win the championship, but it's still tainted because the SFS aren't in there competiting for it.

Tainted, perhaps... but they did beat us three times. But, tainted because we have as many wins against Billings this regular season as we did against Sioux City in the 2005 regular season. Wide left or good, our names are on that cup.
The league left us an opening we had every chance of crawling through to get to the playoffs, and we didn't get it done. The oh woe is me the league screwed us attitude isn't doing any of us any good. we had a chance and didn't get it done.

On a side note to the Storm front office who I know lurk on this board. That was the single most embarrassing game day production in years. wow, just wow. It's amazing how bad it was. I could not agree any more!!! From the very beginning it was bad!!!! There was about 2 minutes of dead silence sitting in the dark wondering if anyone was going to sing the national anthem. Then the halftime show....wow! Having 6 guys who have never touched a football before...let alone kick one....then make them try to kick 40 yard field goal? Cody Butler can't make a field goal or extra point what makes anyone think those guys will make one. One of the worst "halftime shows" in Storm history. Ranks up there with the brutal bagpipe show from a few seasons ago. I had the pleasure to sit next to a bunch of guys from Billings. The owner of the Outlaws flew them to Sioux Falls for the game. Very nice guys, but even more embarassing to see the quality of the game day production when you have to sit next to them. One last thing to Outlaw....you need to realize the refs in this league suck. I know they are doing the best they can, but they suck. I am a Storm fan...I thought the refs were very bias toward the Storm on Saturday night, but the previous week they were very bias toward the Outlaws. You need to get over it.
