We're used to sucky pregame and halftime shows in Wichita. Had a long time waiting for inros this week - the real classic was the game where we didn't even have a flag in the building for National Anthem. Nice. At least that only happened once.
Congrats to the Outlaws on the big wins! However, I agree that any championship this year will be somewhat tainted. Yes - Billings beat them in regular season - but we all know that the Storm would have still made the playoffs, who knows what would have happened then. The Wild appear to be the team that will benefit from the exec committee directly, but everyone in the playoffs gets a break. I honestly hope to see SF move on to a new league - UIF (reborn?) AF2 - and I'd love to see the Wild follow to a better league. Had such hope after last season - league wise - but have been nothing but disappointed this season.

We all know the EC put a asterisk on the whole league with their decision. The Outlaws did everything in their power to remove any tarnish of their success this season. And IF they go on to win the whole thing I can feel about 95% sure they are the best team this year. But there will always be that "if" hanging around and that is unfortunate for the whole league.

Can we get a reality check? I have always said the refs suck in favor of the home team. It happened again last weekend in Sioux Falls. The Outlaws won in spite of it. To put "an asterisk" on this year is sheer lunacy. The Outlaws swept Sioux Falls and deserved it. The Storm had EVERY opportunity to overcome the crap they had dealt to them and one team prevented it from happening. All they had to do was beat Billings ONCE for a chance! My only regret is that we didn't get an opportunity to defeat Sioux Falls a fourth time (it may still happen). Realize that the Storm had a chance to stick it to the league and failed. gooutlaws, you should be ashamed of yourself. A 95% fan is not what we need going into the playoffs. You'd NEVER see a Sioux Falls or Sioux City fan throw that out there.

Actually in 05 the bandits beat the storm in the regular season, granted in closer games than the outlaws/storm had this year, but still ended up losing the 1st united bowl, in Sioux City. The playoffs are a different story for teams, Dixon had a chance to beat the storm last year in the playoffs and didnt. Noone is saying the outlaws can't beat the storm in the playoffs, its the what if factor, and the fact remains sioux falls has only lost to billings on the field during the regular season. I hate the storm as much as anyone, but still think they got boned on this, not to mention they shouldn't be playing the outlaws 3 times in a season anyway when they aren't even in the same division, the whole **** IFL logo needs a stupid ass * next to it for its scheduling.
And for the record the only teams that anyone even seem to care about are the Outlaws/Storm/Bandits/Beef/Bloomington/Wichita(sometimes), which is your whole central division +1 and all UIF teams. Woulda been better off with the ****ing eight teams the uif had last year. The whole **** Atlantic conference is worthless, besides Maryland who doesn't play anybody. The lonestar conference may have some good teams, but hell they are in texas and play hit and miss ball all the time, and noone seems to care. Then you go to the Pacific Conference and you have billings and what competition, sure the Griz played the outlaws tough once. They play Alaska 4 times, and they came down here last week and lost to the bandits, granted the bandits are playing better than a 3-8 record but still. Colorado also lost here. and there is ur 4 teams or more like 1 in the pacific division

Everybody keeps blaming the EC for this but it is the Sioux Falls Storm that are to blame. Never forget that.
SIOUX FALLS DOWN!

We cannot blindly simply blame only the EC. Anyone that read the appear meeting minutes while they were up knows that NONE, NONE, NONE of the other owners said a darn thing in our defense. SO, take that for what it is, the rest of the league bailed on the Storm players and coaches because the ownership ran out of daddy's money.
As right as outlaw is, we have had three chances to beat Billings and haven't, Doom remembers...the exact same thing happened to the Storm and Sioux City in 2005.
Cowboys beat the Giants twice in the regular season in 2007.. you get my point.

The IFL title is tarnished. Sure, Billings is the best team right now, but they won't be able to prove it on the field, as not every team that should be in the playoffs will be.

Do you really think the Sioux Falls Storm is 100% to blame for what happened this year? While I agree they are partly to blame......how can some of the blame not go on the league office itself? What well-run business would allow these insurance issues to get that far? Six weeks into the season and the league office figures it out? It should have never gone that long. I know this topic has run its course, but to see someone actually think the Storm are 100% to blame is downright idiotic.

I guess I am idiotic then because if the strom didn't do what they did, they would be in the playoffs. They are to blame and everyone else is just drinking the sioux falls koolaid. Oh poor sioux falls. Ha. Its just a big dose of karma.

Nope. A competent league would have asked for minor things like "paperwork" to prove a team has the required coverage.
Even the CIFL does this. The IFL has failed in a major area the CIFL is prudent within.

Karma for what Doobi? kicking your asses for 5 straight years?
We went 9-3, the league took the playoffs from us in a conference call, and we'll be watching the playoffs from the golf course just like the Bandits always do.
