Colorado will have a tough time going to Fairbanks and coming away with a win. It's possible though, but not probable. The Ice have been too inconsistent and had too many injuries this year. I don't think they'll heal and jell in time for this game, so Fairbanks will come away with a first round playoff victory and head to Billings to get cremated as a reward. Fairbanks 47, Colorado 34.

oh joy, the winner get's to get whooped by Billings, each team tries it's hardest to loose but the Ice prevail 2-1 after a Fairbanks holding call in the endzone gives the Ice the lead late.

GAME NOTES:
The Colorado Ice come into the game with a 5-9 regular season record. Colorado finished off the regular season on a three game losing streak and are 2-5 on the road. Colorado's two wins on the road came against the Alaska Wild and the Odessa Roughnecks.
The Fairbanks Grizzlies come into the game with a 7-7 regular season record. Fairbanks finished off the regular season on a two game winning streak, but is 2-4 in their last six games. Fairbanks is 4-3 at home with their three losses coming against the Billings Outlaws (twice) and the Rochester Raiders.
The two games between them this season were split (both games were played in Colorado). Colorado won 61-30 on 18 April and Fairbanks won 50-36 on 9 May.

Grizzlies will win this one, and then off to Billings for the upset of the year, Grizzlies beat the outlaws on a field goal in overtime...It could happen....

Billings at home in the playoffs is one of the biggest obstacles any team can face though. I give Fairbanks a 1% chance. Colorado could make it moot though, so Fairbanks better give them all their attention this week.

Fairbanks gave Billings a scare earlier, but I don't see that happening next time. Colorado is a tough team to figure out. But, on the road, they are a lot easier to disect. Especially WAY on the road. Fairbanks over Colorado, Fairbanks smacked around by Billings, Billings in a tight one over El Paso for the right to entertain the championship game.
