1738 rating on Wii Sports Tennis now. I think I got tennis figured out...if all goes well I should be maxed out at 2000 sometime this month.

I thought 2000 was the max rating you could get in Wii Sports, but evidently not. I now have a 2024 rating in Wii Sports Tennis, so I guess I'll keep playing to see how high I can go.
Today was supposed to be Mario Kart beatdown on my daughter day, but instead she beat me, so we're now tied all time at 2-2. I have to practice before our next matchup since she beat me pretty good today, and I can't have that.

2,108 rating on Wii Sports Tennis now. Very hard to improve on my rating now since the highest competition is 2,000 and beating lower rated opponents doesn't boost your rating that much. I think I've about maxed out tennis.

I've heard 2399 is the max Serious? I'm at 2154 now and you pretty much can't give the other team any points in order to improve your rating, not easy...but I'm determined to max it out.

2176 on Wii Sports Tennis now. I had to play a lot of games and not let them get a single point just to move up 20 measly rating points...at this rate it may take months to max out my rating. If I win and let them score points I actually go down in rating points and have to fight to get back to where I was, so I pretty much have to be perfect now...not easy.
Some tricks I've learned though is when you serve, let the ball go as high as you can before you hit it, you want to hit it at it's apex or just right when it starts to come down, not before...this will give you a fast serve, but it's really not needed. To win consistently you want to hit the ball with your front man as much as you can. If you can hit the ball into the corners where the back man has to keep scrambling for it, then keep him there and keep hitting it at him, he will eventually miss or hit it out of bounds. Varying your hit speed between light and hard hits will also keep them guessing and sometimes they will mess up their hit and hit it out bounds at the end of your court when you do that. Also, when you keep them in the corner, sometimes they give you an easy shot to hit to the opposite side of their court where they can't get it. The more you play the better you get of course. Once you start playing the highest rated players, they will hit some fast serves at you so be prepared to hit back fast.
It's a lot of fun, I can't wait to max it out...then start on something else.

Last time I played was tennis at my birthday party, when my friends wanted to see me play buzzed. Played Spider-man quite a bit with my little cousin this summer. Just havent had much time to play. We play the Wii all the time, it's addicting. I did it just to have fun with my daughter and now I'm into it (never been into video games before, but these really don't feel like the traditional video games where you sit down and work a controller, these you're all over the living room). I'm a pro on all Wii Sports except boxing, just haven't figured that one out yet. Once I max out Tennis I guess figuring out boxing will be next. I beat my daughter 2-1 in Mario Kart just now, don't ask me how since I had no idea what half the stuff going on was about. I just concentrate on driving as fast as I can and hitting the good stuff and avoiding the bad stuff, but sometimes I don't know which is which. I play as the Donkey Kong (no comments on that please) and choose the vehicle of his with the fastest speed and less handling. I drove one of the motorcycles once and I was all over the place, the less handling works out better for me and the increased speed is what gives me the advantage I think. The race I lost against my daughter all the players kept knocking me off the course and throwing stuff at me so I ended in 7th, maybe I was the target after winning the first two races I don't know, or maybe they just liked to pick on me that game...lol. My daughter knows all the rules and is really good so I have no idea how I beat her the first two games, but it felt good doing it. I have a 4-3 record over her all time and now and she doesn't like that too much, we'll have a rematch tomorrow...I had to quit as after 3 races my thumb was hurting from pressing down that 2 button, I don't know how the kids do it. I don't get buzzed much anymore, but if I do in the future I'll have to try playing the Wii like that. I like playing the Wii Tennis after running at the gym while I'm still on an energy high, or playing it when I'm tired as it gets my blood going and wakes me up.

Well the buzzed was mostly my fault since I was battling a cold and take Robitussian and tylenol like half a hour before i started drinking.
You should definitly get the SPider-man Friend or Foe game. I think Purple Bear will like it. My Little Cousin is like 11 and loves the game. Designed for kids as you dont really die just lose tokens and there are female characters to play as.

She's got Tomb Raider, but she gets scared when the bear or the wolves attack...which I think is hilarious.

My little cousin was the same way, she would get scared and run away which meant i couldnt see what i was doing. She would be like oh im scared. So hilarious. YEt she was mad when i didnt pack it in with Wii sports for her to borrow for her sleepover.
Almost got through the game but she had to go back to school, and since she got through the biggest part of it with me i would like her to beat it with me.

We're the same way, my daughter wants to finish the Tomb Raider with me, but I have to do the scary parts of course...lol. I'm at 2304 in Wii Sports Tennis (it's a h*** of a lot of work now) and I guess 2399 is tops, so I have 95 rating points to go...will probably have it by November I hope and then I can move on to something else. BTW, the computer cheats more the higher you get.

We got Guitar Hero III for the Wii today, and some other games for the Wii as well. My daughter's really good at it, she's played Guitar Hero before...it's fun watching her play it...she's been going for over an hour now...lol. My digital camera's upstairs, otherwise I'd take video of her...I'll do it next time.
