We had a TON of people not renew for the playoffs, whether or not front office issues may have had something to do with it I have no idea. There have certainly been some bumps in the road. Believe it or not, there were LOWER LEVEL tickets available Thursday evening (last time I checked) via ticketmaster. The bright side is that I stood next to three fine folks that had never been to a Storm game before, got row 4 Section O seats and went from unsure to completely into it in about a quarter and a half, and seemed genuinely obsessed with getting season tickets next year.

That's cool, I always like to see new recruits get hooked.
You should move down to the 1st row of Section O if it's available for next year, a nicer view for sure. I enjoyed being on the wall the last two years with the Beef, will miss that.

I once sat in the lower level for that first IFL game against Louisiana. It was just weird.. those folks didn't yell, didn't stand, it was just weird all the way around. on the rail in the balcony would be nice, but with 6 seats to try and move it becomes dramatically more difficult. Plus, then it makes road trips where I can get wall seats super special...

The rail is nice. I sat with stormtidalwave in his seats on the rail next to Section O for that Sioux Falls/Louisiana game and it's definitely a better view and experience.
LOL...it's true, the people in the seats at floor level are mostly comatose. To each their own though. I used to like to be calm and analyze every play of the game and sit up high and away from people to do so. It's much more enjoyable being in the midst of all the crazy lunatics...and being one as well.

Why would it take balls to sit in Section O. Are Storm fans that big of pieces of doodoo?
It doesnt take guts to sit anywhere in the Tyson.

Well I can say with some certainty that some fans don't take too kindly to visiting fans cheering for their team. And it can be intimidating to cheer your team on in front of the other teams fans as they out number you 500 - 1 or so. But it seems to me that fans get more into their team, overall that is, as they start to be able to win more games then they lose! I have two main examples that I draw from here: In Wichita this year where one of us got told that they were going to kill us. When I visited KC cheering for my 49ers and getting yelled, cursed, items thrown at us at the game and very much after the game (a game where the 49ers got shut out). I know most fans are good people but it only takes a few, just ask Santa about Philadelphia (and he wasn't even for either team)! Besides I mainly just wanted to give them credit for traveling to watch their team, it takes some commitment to do such for travels over 1 to 3 hours.

I went to a lot of Philadelphia Eagles games back when they were at the Vet and that place was something...lol. The Eagles are like third on my list as far as favorite teams so I was always rooting for them and so had no issues for myself there. Anyway, this was back when Ray Rhodes was coaching for them (he started out good and years later fell apart as a head coach...makes a better def coord). Dallas came to town and man what a war zone. Before the game a Cowboy fan went into a port-a-potty in the tailgate area and some Eagles fans went over and tipped it over while he was in it. During the game there were fights between fans, probably started by Philly fans, etc. Very chaotic, you were watching the stands as much as the game. They had a courthouse in the Vet with a judge there ready to sentence people after they were charged and it got used every game. Anyway, Philly beat Dallas for the first time in many years that day and the place went nuts. That's when the Oklahoma Boy Switzer was the lame duck head coach. Late in the game the Cowboys went for it on 4th and 1 with Emmitt Smith and he got stuffed and the place erupted. A great place to watch a football game the vet was, but in the winter you could get frostbite really easy there if you didn't dress smartly.
I wore a very nice white Dodger hat to a Giant game (baseball...back when I would go to different sports) in candlestick and was taking **** all game long. There were fights between fans all game, we were watching the fights more than the game (baseball games are boring to watch anyway). SF fans in upper decks were spitting down onto Dodger fans below as well, that was mild as far as what was going on.
We went to Wichita last year and there were some fans giving us **** there too, but every place has them, even Omaha.

When you go into someones arena, or stadium, you are not required to sport your teams gear and cheer all out. You can go neutral clothing and cheer amongst yourselves.
I would have to say if I was going to a Niners game in Philly that would be my option.
The Metrodome wasnt so bad in my Steve Young Jersey, but we were 2 rows up from the highest row possible, and I was 17.

The Metrodome was very easy to dress up in Niners gear last year and we were lucky enough to get row 18 seats, their fans were fantastic to be around. Only after the game got over did this little 16 year old girl jump up and down around us gloating because Bret pulled a last second through out of himself to win the game. But even that is not even close to being anything.
And crazy video BNDC!
