Is it altitude of the IFL making the descision not to air? Sad part is either way of the travesty in Billings and making it a great human interest story.

Well there are two real issues at play here...
1. the legitimate technical issues that may well be in play here getting a live broadcast out of that facility with proper production value to make it worthwhile. What could be a great testament to the resolve of the Billings community and their ownership for making this happen would be a great one to watch. Perhaps America One, or the league pulled the plug on the broadcast deal after Altitude stopped carrying the games live. With no satellite channels carrying the game it's far from national. Back in the old days (two years ago) I vaguely recall the local television coverage of the Storm vs Outlaws conference finals being picked up by a local affiliate in Billings, could the same have been done in reverse here, or doesn't neither team, or the league have the coin to pull THAT off. Sure the game appeals to .. hundreds of fans in other markets, it's sure to be well watched by people in Billings AND Sioux Falls that can't get in, as there were already rumors of a sell out Tuesday evening.
2. Is the league THAT shallow? As I mentioned earlier the broadcast with the back story explained, makes for wonderful TV. Much like a Monday Night Football game a few years ago in Arizona what was supposed to be in San Diego, but Qualcomm..or whatever it was called then, was being used by emergency crews fighting local wildfires. The crowd wasn't great, and they had a rooting interest in neither team, but it's the quality of the play on the field that should matter. I have to agree with Ryan (outlawsblog) on this one.. It would have taken a tad bid of back-story telling and perhaps a few creative camera angles.. but it could have been done, and Should have been done.
My honest OPINION... given the timing of the whole deal is that the commissioner learned that it, in fact would not be broadcast live by Altitude (it showed up on DTV guides at 12 midnight central), or perhaps at all by Altitude, therefore not a real national broadcast, just the few American One affiliates scattered around, and decided to pull the plug.

If Billings and Sioux Falls REALLY wanted to give a giant middle finger to the league, get a broadcast set up by a local cable company and show it in Billings and Sioux Falls.

I ws just thinking, mabey the game is not going to be on TV for reasons out of the IFLs control, so they do a generous thing and make it available for free on B2. Thanks IFL.
