After the first week we already have three players with one strike. One didn't get his pick in on time (this week he has) and the others had San Diego (oops...my fav team let them down...which is why I don't pick them until later in the season). Last year's champ (nut) and the usual faces from last year, plus rooster and pigs, all advanced unscathed. Three strikes and you're out, so watch your picks.WK 001 PLAYER0 Strikes TEN Catastrophic Bananas TEN Crown of Thorns ARI doom NOR Rooster Grande TEN Sportznut the Swami TEN Thunder Pigs1 Strike N/A big o SDG Hawkeye's Picks SDG Purple Paws of Terror

Week 3 Results: Big O was eliminated and Doom got his second strike (seems they gave up in light of the superb picks made by everyone else). Rooster Grande received his first strike (he's out of the country and couldn't get his pick in). Everyone else advanced unscathed. Baltimore was the overwhelming favorite pick of the week. Four are still perfect. WK 003 PLAYER

If you are going to be away or something and can't get your pick in, I can make your pick for you if you let me know which team you want. You will have to change your settings to give me (the commish) the power to edit your picks for you before you depart though.

Week 4 Results: Doom was eliminated and Purple Paws of Terror got her second strike (Indy let her down when they lost to Jacksonville...doh). Everyone else advanced unscathed. New Orleans was the overwhelming favorite pick of the week. Four are still perfect, while Hawkeye and Rooster Grande have rebounded nicely after their lone imperfection. WK 004 PLAYER

Week 5 Results: Rooster Grande got his second strike (Cincy let him down when they lost to Tampa) and Crown of Thorns got his first strike (also courtesy of Cincy). Everyone else advanced unscathed. There was no overwhelming favorite pick of the week this week, in fact it was the most diverse week so far. Three are still perfect, while Hawkeye has greatly improved after his misstep in week one. I'm holding Carson Palmer personally responsible for my strike.

I agree with the NFL Network analysis that he hasn't been the same since he returned from injury a couple of years ago. This year he is really struggling with his accuracy and I think his arm strength isn't what it once was either. He's playing like he still thinks he can make the throws he used to be able to make though. Kind of sad really, because if he could still sling it like he used to, they'd be pretty hard to beat right now. It's looking like he'll never be what he was though, so I'm kind of curious what will happen to him next year as far as whether the Bengals will stick with him or not. Too bad he got injured, because he really did look real good a couple of years ago...this is a tough sport though.

Week 6 Results: Rooster Grande was eliminated (the team he picked really blew). Everyone else advanced unscathed. Pittsburgh was the overwhelming favorite pick of the week. Three are still perfect, two have only one blemish, and Purple Bear is hanging tough on the precipice (but it's only a matter of time the way she's picking). For those counting, three are down with five to go (we've gotten rid of the dead weight and only serious contenders remain). The weeks will start to get tougher from here due to the dwindling number of teams to pick from (we've gone through six teams each now) and we're currently in the middle of the bye weeks. I expect everyone to have at least one strike by the time week 10 is in the books, and maybe have only three of us left at that point. The seven regular season weeks after that will be really tough. Week 7 Results: Purple Paws of Terror was eliminated when the defending Super Blow (nice play on words?) Champs Saints fell to Cleveland. Everyone else except Sportznut got a strike as well. Catastrophic Bananas, Thunder Pigs, and Crown of Thorns all picked Denver (which lost to Oakland...in Denver???) and Hawkeye's Picks picked Philly (which lost to Tennessee). Sportznut, the defending elimination challenge champion, escaped unscathed when Baltimore beat Buffalo in OT, otherwise everyone would've been red this week. There's hope for those with a strike though, since Sportznut won it all last year despite not being the last person with zero strikes. Denver was the overwhelming favorite pick of the week. One is still perfect, two have only one blemish, and two are on the precipice of elimination. Wk7 Pick PLAYER

well, it was nice playing. Thanks a lot, Dallas. I can't believe you and Micah picked Dallas. That's a pretty risky pick I thought and sure enough... Granted, the team selections are getting harder (nut and I went with KC and Buffalo almost beat them...that's Buffalo's second OT loss in a row and nut was against them both times...talk about scraping by). We're down to three now and dropping like flies.

I went with Dallas assuming everyone else would pick KC... and hoping KC would get upset (so close!)
So much for that plan...

DOH!...lol.
I was thinking along the same lines and almost went with the Jets, but that kind of thinking was my downfall last year so I stuck with the Chiefs...whew.
