Im so tired of reading the expansion news. i wanna talk a little Storm football.
Im thinking this year the team should retire the #93 of Fluit. He has been out a year now, and that should be enough time.
Next years class I could see Poppy and Fields getting in to the ring of fame.
there are some players I wish had more time with the club. Landis and Murphy are the two that come to mind. great players, but the time thing kills them in my book.
Ohh I forgot Veenhoff, he should be an inductee as well.

The Storm Ring of Honor should have a lot of inductees from players who played the last few years, that's for sure. There's a ton I'd induct, and I'd only wait one year to do it.

Im sort of curious if they have certain criteria to make it in. I would love to see them all up there, however I think it should be reserved for only the best of the best. Sometime these things tend to get watered down. It should be something special. IMO

They get very watered down, but 5 straight title appearances and 4 straight titles and undefeated seasons don't get done without important contributions from all around. I think that ring should be pretty full.

i hear ya. but take Murphy for example. Unbelievable player, but correct me if Im wrong but I think he only played two seasons with the Storm. He would be the best athlete in the ring of fame, but I think a player would need to be with a team for a little longer than that. Then is the argument that these players are generally only around for a couple years (the Storm being an exception more than the rule). I think that a minimum of 3 years would be a nice number.

I'd say, and obviously I'm not a Storm fan, that if a player made a significant contribution to the team during his time there, whatever that length of time is...then go for it, put him in. Not sure the Storm would've won without Murphy...but I don't know what other team would've beaten them even without.
In that case, guys that've been there longer should probably get the nod.
