Good game Beef. The better team won. Spartans showed a lot of heart in not giving up. I think Rivera should be the QB going forward, Mauiri has skills but doesn't seem as good. Gilbert's play calling was ok, but IMHO Jose Jefferson can do a better job (I'll say it again, he's proven it). I hope your team gets a win next week.

That McCullum guy is pretty good. Your defense can bend and not break on him, but your offense needs to get it together.

Coach Jefferson was calling plays from the box. It was nice talking to him after the game. It had been a long time!
La Crosse really shouldn't have been as close as they were. They didn't complete a pass until after the 90 second warning and didn't get their first first down until around the same time (that came via penalty).
Good job Beef, but you aren't even close to being good enough to beat Sioux Falls.

Good job Beef, but you aren't even close to being good enough to beat Sioux Falls. True, but they have the best shot of anyone I think. The last game of the season is in Omaha, if the Storm will fall this year that's probably the only place it will happen.

Lac had alot of injurys heck even the waterboy got hurt. You want to fic Lac here how you do it...find a QB who can make his reads.Niether one could .The first guy was some times but has no accuracy.Rivera is fast and thats it.They both had plenty of scoring opportunitys .WR were wide open. Second of all is Gilbert needs to check his ego.Dude the best coach on the team By FAR is your OC.You can tell by watching the sidelines. Its an absoulte joke that Gilbert thinks he needs to be on the field all the time. This having your OC call in plays from the side line might work if you have a Chris Dixon on your team but you dont. These QBs need the man with the brains on the field.Jose was calling the plays in on a broken head set and Gilbert still wouldnt come off the field..Also #11 is the worst special team player Ive ever seen.

Yea, some friends I know that play in La Crosse said that Brown is calling plays and won't let Jose. Can't say who, but, that same dude said Gilbert was gone for the last two weeks and wasn't even at practice. Bandits---ego must be the issue. Sad for the Spartans because Jose is almost a legend in this game. Brown's been calling plays both years and the offense has been bad, one of the worst in the league last year. That man played defense in the outdoor game.
Between LAC and Milwaukee, he's 2-17 as a head coach...HELLO!
Whoever the owner there is, needs to look to Jose.

A few quick thoughts... - The waterboy got hurt last year too. - The fans have been calling for Rivera since a couple plays into the opening game. - I have asked in the offseason why they were not bringing in any other QBs. The answer was always that they are confident in these two. I am sure they believe this, but they need to start showing it on the field. - Gilbert didn't call plays all of last year, just at the end. - I also expected him to hand the play calling over to Jose for this season, and have asked why not. (no response given, but I know there is more to the story... I just can't figure out exactly what) - I still think Gilbert brings value to this team, and is more than just a face (as I have said in the past). He is the reason some of the players are there. Simply, if they don't win the next couple of games I think something needs to change going forward.

Next game watch Jose coaching the players(namely the QBs)in the box.He is a heck of a coach.Ive seen him on the field with QBs like this and he is able to give advise and what to look for on a given play....he cant do that in the box.
Bottom line these QBs cant make the reads.Rivera is fast but he doesnt need to be he had a WR wide open on every play he just made the wrong read.Maybe with time he can pick it up.
