Didn't watch, what was it? Some guy, looked like Colonel Sanders, using bullwhips to pop balloons that were attached to his girlfriend's waist. Oh and she was dressed like Amelia Earhart. It was bizarre (and lame). The crowd just sat there in dumbfounded silence. LMAO. I'll have to watch it on-demand later, have to see that.

I guess I just don't understand the reasoning for running up the score. Sioux Falls is very good and will probably win the championship. We all get that. At some point, other teams will get tired of the running up of the score and over paying players. Heck, I guarantee one reason Bob Scott and SC left the IFL is because of Sioux Falls. Look at a team like Wichita. Off to an 0-2 start. If the Wild get dominated by 50 or 60 points next week, crowds will decrease significantly for the rest of the season. Same thing could happen in other city's that SF travels to this season. What would stop Omaha, SC, Nebraska, Wichita, Bloomington, Chicago, La Crosse, and other midwest teams from forming their own league without Sioux Falls? Leave SF in the IFL where their closest opponent would be on the east and west coast. Seems like a plan like this would be smart and easy to pull off for the midwest teams. Create a league like the UIF with 8 to 10 teams and leave SF out. Seems kind of ironic that SF's dominance could spell a revolt in the IFL and leave them out in the cold. Naturaly a storm fan would have a smart ass reply to this...some things never change. They need to wake up because this is bad for the league and it just keeps getting worse...teams will leave because of this..cheat cheat cheat...best fans can do is email Benizo and let him know how you feel....Of course a storm fan will disagree with this but I dont care.

I agree the other owners won't want to be embarrased, but i'll be damned if I am gonna pay to watch the Qb take a knee for ten min in a game. Stop crying. Also BLZ, shut up and go away and take your accusations with you. You don't think the league is watching Sioux Falls like a hawk? Proof people, proof.

The Storm are still very beatable. You just have to get them frustrated.. guaranteed with as many former Outlaws players are on this team they're not used to things not going their way. I wonder, however if this is any different from when the Yankees, or Patriots are winning all the time. It actually winds up being good for the sport. Sioux Falls has, arguably, the largest and most vocal and obnoxious fan base. The rest of the league and their fans want nothing more than to see them go down and go down HARD. 21 teams have a common enemy.
The IFL owners haven't yet audited the Storm's books because they're afraid of having their own books being opened, that's the only reason I can think of that it hasn't happened. Or, maybe.. just maybe... naw no one would ever believe it anyways.

The IFL owners haven't yet audited the Storm's books for one likely reason:
Audits ain't cheap.
As for the "good for the sport" thing...fans in the cities that play against the Yankees et al...know they have teams that play against the Yankees. Looking at attendance figures, I think teams gotta let their cities know they exist before we can have a big anti-Sioux Falls wave here.

The situation with the Storm being dominant this year is no different than Billings winning the championship the last 2 years.
Now it's the Storm's turn.
Are some owners unhappy? Probably, but they then again they are probably more unhappy regarding financials than they are about the Storm.
There are winners and losers in sports.
Who here wants to dumb down the league and have all teams be "average" where everyone goes 8-6?
I don't.
Cheating? Oh I am sure there is that, but again, where is the proof?
Until there is proof, there isn't much to be done and I am sure the Storm are under the microscope.
I am happy the Ice are 4-0, they need victories to try to build a fan base. But they have not played any of the elite teams yet and there will be some losses.
I can tell you one thing: Not all teams cheat and it's precisely because of the financials that they don't. There are a great many IFL teams (most) following the rules.
The games are entertaining and as fans, we need to support our local teams even during those bad years, otherwise we won't have teams to go see.
Yes, it's sports, winning matters, but teams are also about our local communities and who we all are. And all of us that love the indoor game need to get out there and support out teams, win lose or draw.

To be an elite league like the IFL is trying to be, you need elite teams.. Truth is, the IFL needs more teams like Sioux Falls than they do Sioux City.. When the comparables with other leagues come up, the IFL immediately turns to Sioux Falls has their prize team. I agree with the above statement and we need other teams to step up instead of dumbing down the league. I've said it time after time, it's not about the payroll! It's about leadership, environment and facilities. Sioux Falls has arguablly the toughest schedule with remaining games against Omaha (twice), Wichita (twice) at Nebraska, at Chicago, at Okl City, at Wyoming, Green Bay, Bloomington and LaCrosse.. I gaurentee when Sioux Falls travels, it will be the top gate for the hosting team.. Instead of bashing Sioux Falls, give them the credit they deserve. They treat this like a business on and off the field and up to this point are doing a remarkable job representing the IFL... GO STORM!!

Many of them seem to disappear if the teams aren't winning, and then act surprised if the team folds (yet they rarely made it to a game).

How many like the baseball model where the rich teams have all-stars and small markets are always at the bottom of the league standings?
How many like the NFL model where there is parity?
If all the other teams in indoor could spend like Sioux Falls could then I wouldn't have a problem with it, but they don't have those resources. At this level it's hard to find owners even willing to take such financial losses. I think a business model where all teams can be equally successful is better.
This is what we're stuck with though and it will never change.

Both baseball and football have the same number of teams making the playoffs virtually every year (I'll take your Yankees and Red Sox and counter with my Patriots and Steelers). Parity in the NFL is a myth. While the cap gives every market equal shot, there are still very bad teams.
Go Browns...

Sioux City SUX...
that's an airport code FACT, not a commentary on the town on the people..
and now back to your regularly schedule programming.
The NFL's salary CAP means that no team is spending MORE than X on payroll. What the league rules don't specify is a salary floor (a minimum amount spent) nor does the league require a standard when it comes to all of the other team facilities... see NFL in Ohio.
Can someone please show me where in the bylaws the subject of performance based bonus's and allowable stipends for housing and meals for player not requiring such things? Actually, can anyone just show me these league bylaws we're all so certain the Storm are breaking? any former player lurking these boards, feel free to PM me all of your details so we can finally put all of this drama to bed once and for all.
Until then, the old adage it takes money to make money applies here. Be jaded and bitter all ya want. Expecting a football player to be satisfied with a 6" Subway and $10 for a 12 hour (round trip) bus ride.. plus pizza if the home team buys it, is asinine. There are owners in the league with plenty of coin, if they want an audit, they can **** well afford one.. either let's make the league "right", or really all of us SHUT THE FLAP UP already.
If all teams spent as much money as Sioux Falls does on marketing, we wouldn't be having this conversation, but would the dozens of fans in OKC look SO bored at their games... it takes money to make money
