Jose Jefferson is on the field calling plays for the offense...about time It was nice to see Jose out there tonight. Especially at the end of the game you could tell he was really having fun talking with us a little bit, and with a HUGE smile on his face. announcers guessing 750 in attendance when they were off the air on the radio...saying St. Patrick's Day is killing them I think it was more than 750, but it was for sure one of the least attended games they have had so far. The only way they can get any dates in March is to do Thursday or Sunday games... neither of which work very well. Of course tonight they also got unlucky with Wisconsin playing in the NCAA tournament at the same time. indoor rugby at the half is full of win That was actually fun to watch. They even crashed into the boards right in front of us (knocking the pads off the wall). and a misspelled Defense sign by a lady in a green hat..LOL We were laughing at that too!

Good article this time around from the Tribune... even a few player quotes (since they were available). I always suspected they were really publishing "paid attendance" rather than the actual number of people there... either way, still the lowest game yet, but with no more on Thursdays, and a win, next game will be more like 2500-3000. Must be back to his Night Train days... this isn't the NIFL. (Guess he should have used a lower case 'n' in national and he could get away with it).

Most attendance numbers report paid attendance, even NFL. Butts in seats numbers are rarely seen. The Spartans had a tough battle going up against St. Patrick's Day, a Thursday Night (work night), and NCAA basketball tournament.

This weekend there is an Auto Show and Model Railroad show, other weekends there was a Golf Show, Home and Builders Show... you get the idea. Last season they ended up with 5 home games in April, and nothing before that, which really didn't work out well at all.

Unfortunately indoor football is near the bottom of most stadium's priority lists. With only 7-8 home dates, hockey and other sports with watered down regular seasons (i.e. a ton of home games) get whatever they want and have even moved indoor games because of hockey playoffs. Business is business. It's nice when the owner actually owns the stadium though, but that's very rare.
