The Chicago front office was fantastic to work with!! Seems like a great organization from what I can tell at this point!

I have been to 2 games in Chicago now... and I agree they were good to work with, and do a good job with the game day production.
I really like their arena too. I don't have many to compare to, but it seems really well designed for Indoor Football. Food was a bit expensive... but good.
The only surprise I had in Chicago was the fans not getting into the game like I thought they would. The loudest they got was when things were being tossed into the stands, not when their Defense needed some support.

That's kinda sad to hear especially for a team that's playing well. I can count many arenas now where we the visiting 2 to 6 fans have made more noise for our Defense then any amount of noise by the home fans.
I think the loudest fans I've seen this year were the visiting Beef fans that can to watch the Beef play in Sioux Falls this year.
I think the PA announcer has a huge opportunity to make an impact in how people react at games and I have not had any luck finding one that compares to JJ here in Sioux Falls. Wichita may be the closest one I've seen thus far that I can remember off hand.

I don't think their fans were bad, I just expected more noise out of the number of people that were there. I would be curious your take on it when you go, but I am guessing when the game turns into a blowout they will get even quieter.

2nd and last missed game for me.. this one had been on the plate before a family vacation to Colorado forced my hand... I will be making valiant attempts to B2 it..

Coming into this game Sioux Falls (12-0) is ranked numero uno (#1) and Chicago (8-4) is ranked #7.
Can Chicago be the first team to give the Storm a loss or will they fall like everyone else that has crossed the Storm's path?

Fresh new quarterback should lead to a great defensive game for the storm secondary or lots of tackles for the front line. T-Minus 24 hours until I leave for this road trip!!!! That's right Dave.........

Kind of a crazy game to be at. Crowd was loud, some of their die hard fans were a little into cheering for their team with chants of "rip their heads off" and "break their backs," then later wanting to physically take on some of the Storm players. (Not that her chants aimed at her own team were more complimentary. She was regularly threatening to take Slaughter players out of their misery.) Of course every team has those fans, but most aren't 280ish pounds with tats of Mike Myers and knives across their breasts. Happily, most of the fans around us were very nice and the others were understandably more interested in just cheering for their team than socializing. One guy told me before the game started that Sioux City was going to get their asses kicked, I told him I didn't think so because they aren't in this league and weren't playing there tonight The arena was what I would consider to be just between nice and very nice but the Slaughter need staff that can use the equipment that is present. I give the quality of workers a D +; they did have some of the screens working for some of the time. The refs were as to be expected, slightly better than a broom with a hat that throws flags at random moments and then picks random penalties to call but worse than day-one refs in training for a middle school football game. I am going to let every team in on the Chicago game plan, or at least what seemed to be. Juice (Quarterback) for Chicago will hold on the ball and run around 85% of the time, throw interceptions 5% of the time, complete passes to his own team 8% of the time, incomplete passes 1.98% of the time, and let another Chicago player run with the ball .02% of the time. Overall, great time and a great city to visit. Chicago is not a talented team and with their current head coach, who cares more about talking trash to the visiting team then even paying attention to his own team's play, they won't improve much. Bottom line, this Chicago team will not go far in the playoffs.

Bottom line, this Chicago team will not go far in the playoffs. Yeah, every city has it's share of obnoxious fans (but some like her get way out of control sometimes). Chicago usually has a nice crowd as far as numbers go, one of the best in the league. Chicago will probably go to Reading in the 1st Round, a winnable game for them. I thought Juice would've been pulled, but evidently they are trying to get him as much experience as possible before the playoffs. Chicago does have talent (not compared to Storm though, no one does), but they also think they're better than they are. Their head coach doesn't coach, he's just a figurehead. Another dominating performance by the Storm. I'm sure many an ego was bruised in Chicago tonight.

Riggs said that against Chicago and Omaha it was important to dominate them in these last two regular season games and break their spirit, setting the groundwork for a potential playoff matchup in a couple of weeks. Mission accomplished.
