I spent the weekend in Thermopolis Wyoming about 130 miles from Casper. I watched the local news Fri. Sat. and Sun. and the Cavs are really confident after their win against Colorado (as they should be). They were saying they think they can win the Intense Conference and no one should look past them. The Intense Conference Playoffs should be really fun to watch, any team could take it....

The certain Storm fans road presence this year has been great...love it! Keep up the great work, I know how hard it is to make as many away games as you guys have been doing this year. It definitely makes it easier when you win though, which really hasn't been in question for you guys. I felt great driving back from Coach Fuller's win over Tri-Cities this weekend, makes the drive back home a lot more pleasant. It's been a great time being able to make it to all of the Storm games this year. We have a great crew who is dedicated to have a great time and cheering on the Storm. I know after last years trip to Billings, MT for the championship game it was a bit of longer trip back then it probably would have been if we would have won but after some time you just think about the future and remember the fun times in the past, you have to experience bad times to truly enjoy the good times. All in all it has been great this year to go around and see everyone's arenas, meeting the fans, and hang out with friends. There have been some great home fans, Wyoming and Grand Island thus far are my top two this season.

Although I suspect that there a few fans at arenas where we have visited that did not appreciate our presents, we do get loud. But most people have been great to use and I think we sometimes get opposing team crows louder so they can try to out do the visiting 4 to 6 fans. Some of the ideals I try to go after when attending a road game: sit in my seat most of the game (Although I do stand most of the time when at home since i am in Section O), stand at touchdowns, yell as loud as I can when the Storm are on D, chant at the opposing kicker, be polite to people around me, and clap for good plays regardless of what team makes them. Thus far in the season I feel bad for the following places and the following reasons: 1. Grand Island: Bus people thought Section O moved when a few of them attended games away, so that stood the entire game! Come on staff at these events do your home town fans a favor and tell the fans they have to sit during the game when seated in areas that remain seated. 2. Wyoming: The noise makers that were given to us by events staff were loud (5 pennies in a sealed Pepsi 1 liter bottle), in all fairness we did ask the kid, "We are visiting fans, do you really want to give us these?" 3. Bricktown: Sorry for the poor excuse of a team/owner that was placed there for the few fans who were at the game that were not us or JJ's family/friends. And there are others but this is not the time nor the place since I've gone on for so long already.

we did get quite the glares from some of the folks in Wyoming.. I felt bad..but.. I continue to be the good will ambassador..I would hate to get uninvited from another church social in Casper ;-)
If Casper can get the fan base back, that place will be the loudest in the IFL, no doubt

I'm glad you have many like-minded people to go with, always makes it more fun. I also love meeting the fans from other cities as well as messageboard denizens. Every city has their good and bad people, but I try to ignore the bad and just smile when confronted. There have been some great home fans, Wyoming and Grand Island thus far are my top two this season. I never got to see either of those unfortunately (driven past both sites many times though, just not when a game was going on).

Yes, I've experienced that a lot where the locals are usually quiet at games and then us Beef fans came in and were loud so they would get loud back at us and start taunting us when our team didn't stop theirs and such (btw, we never taunted them, all we did was root for our team and made a lot of noise when the other team was on offense...you'd think that was a crime in some states). It was kind of funny to watch actually. I still like the cowbell for my main noisemaker and the airhorns, for arenas that allow them, secondary.
