That game was ugly. They platooned between a really shakey QB and a wildcat type formation. Their center was a converted d-lineman (it showed). 2 of their 3 TDs were a result of defensive INTs.

I'm dissappointed in my performance at the on-field promotional contest during the 2nd quarter. And I've got the pictures to prove it.. Coming Soon!

overall a much better trip than last time. chilly weather thwarted by ingenious tailgate setup.. wonderful BBQ by a kick ass dude.. (If you're ever in Wichita, please check out Bubba's Nekked BBQ) was good to enjoy the give and take with knowledgeable fans, and not get threatened. I think the Storm players enjoyed having some friendlies in the front row, high fives from pretty much the whole team at one point or another. Two games balls, and a "lambeau leap" by Dixon.. good times..(no aborted fetuses in the pre-game prayer, always a plus)

Lol at last part, they still have the pre-game prayer, eh? What about equal time to other religions?
The O-line for Wichita definitely needs some work...and Sankey's not a scrambler. Wichita may be in for a long season.

...Wichita may be in for a long season. Good news for them is that they play each of the Lonestar teams at least once in their schedule too.. should help get them some wins.

Wichita may be in for a long season. It was "Faith and Family Night". At least that's what it said on my ticket. I'm an Atheist so i just sat down and ate my popcorn During the second half, when we were up by 10 touchdowns, my wife told the kids and I to stop cheering. Yes dear. There were a lot of good Wild fans around me as well. Several stopped and talked to me about the Storm, the Wild and indoor football in general. I didn't run into any bad apples. A couple of people asked us if we'd driven all the way from IOWA for the game (Kansas Educational System leaves something to be desired). My wife and I lived in central Kansas at one point but had not been there to visit since moving back to SF in '95. It was fun to go back and have a look around. Hartman Arena - I wish we had something like that. Nothing fancy but very functional. It would be nice if the Storm and Stampede(along with a few other private investors) would get together and build something similar in SF.

Yes, I liked Hartman as well, would only make a few changes if I was an architect. Is the vendor still there that sells Wild Jerseys and will customize them on the spot for you with numbers and names?...great service, all teams should have that. He was just to the left as you enter the stadium in the concourse.

You'd have been fine.. the 6 rowdy Section O folks in down in front of you took most of the heat.. I think they appreciated us getting after our own guys for the few boneheaded penalties... Harassing Jake Sharp was a lot of fun (I am formerly from his hometown) He looked all confused at how a Storm fan knew where he went to HS and the name of his former coaches "You ran faster at KU... you must have thought Mangino was going to eat you" got a giant smile from the kid, and chuckles from the crowd left at that point. The Kansas educational system must not be totally broke.. everyone I talked to knew that indeed there were two "dakotas" and Sioux Falls is in the south one.. but then again, they might have been transplants ;-) I have at some point in the last 2 months misplaced my camera's spare battery and charger.. it's going to be an extra day but I will get pics up. Pregame has been dramatically streamlined... no pledge of allegiance, no God Bless America, just the prayer (which was decidedly non-denominational, and relatively short) and the national anthem.
