For all its faults...yeah, this wouldn't have happened in the af2.

So it looks like they're gonna at least try to move forward. It still lists Cecil as owner of the Hammer, while Rich Kranz is listed for the Drillers. This may be a sign of each team's relative financial strength though: ideally you would keep those two together (only a couple hours between Huntington and Pikeville), but perhaps only Pikeville would be able to financially deal with Florida road trips? Totally agree on those teams being weaker financially because of this. I may have to adjust my dead pool picks now. Welcome to the board btw.

I think Van Dyke owned both Huntington and EKY. He probably sold them to recoup some of his losses. Well if Cecil is stupid enough to buy the UIFL for 1.45 million he should have had the sense and business plan to construct the league in a profitable manner. I know Haines is an easy target but Cecil should have a better plan.

Van Dyke was played for a sucker by Haines. Haines is now trying to play a savior when in fact this is his mess and he's not on the hook for any of it. I, and others, have been telling people to watch out for Haines' shell games since he got back into indoor football by starting the UIFL, but idiots have to find out the hard way I guess.

Rome Rampage were indeed added back as a travel-only team to help pad win-loss records of South Division teams.

Dan Fisher is now officially owner of the Hammer... which means god help them if they don't get that lawsuit of his straightened out!

Sigh. Updated the status of the first post again with another team folding, this time the Huntington Hammer. I guess I have to redo the UIFL Team Map Growth image again as well.

This crap league my team is in never stops. Huntington won't be the last either. The remaining 8 teams and 2 travel teams will not all return next year.
