IFL Names Players of the Week for Conference Finals
Offensive Player of the Week: Houston Lillard, QB, Tri-Cities Fever
Lillard has yet again led his team to a great victory and one more step closer to the United Bowl this week after defeating the Allen Wranglers and giving the Fever the title of Intense Conference Championship. In this past weekend’s game Lillard threw for over 200 yards and 7 touchdowns leaving no doubt he is coming to play in Sioux Falls.
Defensive Player of the Week: Brian McIntire, LB, Sioux Falls Storm
McIntire exploded into the past weekends game, providing hard hitting tackles and important turnovers to help gain the title for Sioux Falls again as United Conference Champion. Brian would record 5 tackles, 1 fumble recovery, and an interception against Green Bay. Putting a halt on the Blizzard offense and helping his team to a dominating win in a very important game. McIntire will suit up again this weekend at home as he plays for the United Bowl Championship against Lillard and the Tri-Cities Fever.
Special Teams Player of the Week: Gary Cismesia, K, Tri-Cities Fever
Cismesia has made a name for his kicking in 2011, joining us again as Special Teams Player of the Week for the 2011 Intense Conference Championship game. Cismesia went 4/4 on FGs distances of 28,29,47,48, and 7/8 on extra points totaling 19 points on the game and crowning his team Intense Conference Champion. Cismesia will be looked to again in Sioux Falls this weekend as he travels to take on the Storm for the 2011 United Bowl Championship.
