This was orginial a blog on my myspace page, but i figured i would post it hear to share with yall
I'm sure you have all seen the movie "Groundhog Day" where Bill Murray has to relive the same day over and over again. Well if that were to happen to me I hope that i get to relive last night over and over.
Last night was one of those nights where everything went right and it was one of those magical nights that people hear about. Of course the company I had was responsible for it. The evening started in the afternoon, where i met the most amazing, wonderful, special, beautiful, and intelligent woman in the world (ok you know her from my friends lists as Jenn) at dicks so I could show her the way to get to my house. yes she met the parents, which I was stressing about as if I had my way she wouldnt have met them so soon. I changed shirts and did my hair, then showed Jenn where I put the tree she made for me and my Ninja monkey (heads out of the gutter people, though Ninja Monkey is now what I'm calling it). Affleck.
We then left and drove down to see the lights at Ogelby. Along the way she told me that she was worried that my mom wouldn't like her (she did, my dad did as well as he asked a few times during the day 'What did she say about me", we also talked about how our families teased us about each other. There is a reason for the song on my profile that was also discussed on the way down there. I also learned that Jenn doesn't like to drive through tunnels, as she wanted to close her eyes. But she got through it I would like to think that I helped.
Seeing her reaction to the lights was amazing. It was her first time seeing them and she was so adorable. She had this mixture of amazment, wonder, and awe that got to me and made me feel like I was seeing them for the first time. Even if she did say Snoopy's arrow telling us where to go looked like a ****. After we were doing with the lights we walked around the garden to look at the flower lights and the nativity, hand in hand (felt good and right).
From there we drove to the Highlands where we went to 3829473 resturants to find a place to eat, but they were all busy. So I thought the movie had a seven showing but I was wrong so we basically spent a lot of time driving around getting out of her car walking to a door, turning around and going back to her car. We finally went to Eat and Park. WHich wasnt bad except for the overly peppy waitress Ashley. We both orded the same thing some Hamburger on texas toast. It was ok, nothing spectacular.
From there we went back to the teather where Jenn was able to park in the same place as before. While walking to the theater I had the urge to do the Running Man (dont ask me why I just get the urge to dance) so at Jenn's urging I did it, Jenn thend busted out some sweet MC HAMMER moves. When we got into the theater I noticed the had these horses that you put a quarter in and ride. I always want to ride them when I see them and Jenn thought I should. So I got quarters and rode the white horse (which we later named Ashley the Perky Pony in honor of our waitress). We both were cracking up laughing at the absurdity of me riding the pony. Can i just say how nice and refreashing it is for me to be able to actually be myself without the fear of embarassing someone.
We then sat and killed the rest of the time waiting for the movie to start. Jenn quized me on movie quotes which was unfair and easy since two of the options were The Breakfast Club and Footloose.
We then got our refreshements and went into the theater where Jenn aksed "You know that one thing on your Christmas list?" I got a little confused then she said "The Danny Fear ation figure I looked for it but couldnt find it I wanted to get it for you" At this point I cracked up. Why? A few years ago Dan refed under the name Danny Fear and one of his buddies at college was going to make ones for us but he never did. SO every year since then a Danny Fear action figure has been on my Christmas list as a joke. Sorry Jenn but it makes me feel so special that you took time to look for one to make me happy, means so much to me. Still funny thought
During the previews she started naming characters as us for the monster and aliens movie. She then said that I was the Owen wilson character and she was the Jenn Aniston charcter in the movie Marley and Me. when I told her they were married she said sweet. We made a bet on who would cry If I cried and she didnt I would have to sprint to the car doing the Running man. IF she cried and I didnt she would have to moonwalk to the car. We both cried though I did cry first. Marley and Me was a good movie.
Other things that I forget about while driving around the highlands she asked me if I wanted to wrestle which made me blush. And on the way down to Ogelby I told her that I got mad Friday night and was looking at jobs in other states like Nevaa and even in Canada. She told me that If I got a job in Nevada she would come with me. That took me by surprise as I'm not use to someone saying they would move with me if i got a job elsewhere.
After the movie we drove back to my house where we talked, sang songs and danced in the car. You know chair dancing and what not. At the end of the night we hugged and I got that warm and fuzzy feeling, which if you never had feels so good and if you have you know what im talking about. I don't think I ever had as much fun in my life or ever been happier than I was last night. So thank you for that Jenn (the fun and the happiness was all because of you). I look forward to seeing you and spending time with you again Sweetie.
