Beef and Blackhawks Announce Partnership for 2009 Season
The Omaha Beef are proud to announce a strategic partnership with the Iowa Blackhawks of Council Bluffs. Though these teams play in different leagues (IFL and APFL), both will be working towards similar goals of success in 2009.
“Omaha and Council Bluffs have had a long history of indoor football,” said Beef Team President, Dakota Crow. “We feel that this strategic partnership will help offer even more entertainment and excitement for thousands of fans as well as assisting in player development for both teams.”
The first venture of this partnership will be a joint player tryout, which is being held January 24th and 25th at the Mid-America Center in Council Bluffs.
"The entire (Blackhawks) organization is excited about the partnership,” said Blackhawks Owner, Jake Hiffernan. “We have an obligation to our players to provide them with opportunities to advance their careers and an obligation to our fans to win a championship. This partnership should provide us with both."
The Omaha Beef will kick off their 10th season this March in the newly formed IFL. The Iowa Blackhawks will enter their 6th season of operation in the APFL. Additional information on upcoming events related to both teams will be forthcoming shortly.
The BEEF are celebrating their 10th year of Professional Indoor Football in Omaha, NE. Home games are played March through July. All home games start at 7:00pm at "The Slaughterhouse" - Omaha Civic Auditorium. The Beef are a member of the Indoor Football League, the premier indoor football league in America.
