In the wake of the Lafayette Wildcatters folding, the Mobile Bay Tarpons will play a semi-pro team from Georgia tonight.
No word from the league on the Lafayette team folding, or word on anything for that matter. The league will probably use multiple semi-pro teams to fill in home dates for teams that were originally scheduled to play Lafayette. They may even give forfeit loses to Lafayette, even though they folded before the season started.

I love the shoddy research some news stations do when covering indoor football. Actually, news coverage itself on any subject has gotten really bad lately, with more emphasis on glitz than fact. I even see news stations take callers without properly vetting them to discern whether they're giving accurate info or not (like eyewitness reports on the Japanese Tsunami for instance) and they turn out to be a prank caller. It seems no editing or checking of facts is done half the time nowadays.www.wkrg.com/sports/article/mobiles-new-indoor-football-team-wins-opener/1205656/Mar-22-2011_8-21-am/

In their defense...the team probably never told them anything about what league they're in, and the Seagulls *did* start in the IPFL back in 2000.

I know he got IPFL from his shoddy research, that's obvious.
