Is the schedule out yet?
I called the Ice office and they don't have it though they said it should be out soon.
I can see where some teams might save a few grand on housing if the season ends earlier.
Here in Fort Collins/Loveland, attendance drops sharply in June regardless of how well the Ice doing.
Gotta be a Colorado thing?

no.. many teams are the same way, hence the move... Sioux Falls' issues are, and will be, arena availability. Look for them to have a gigantic cluster **** of a schedule.
Besides, I'd rather be floating down melted snow than watching football indoors...Monday night playoff games becuase of Jehova's Witnesses... don't help..
It is not out yet. I'd expect around thanksgiving myself. I just heard 2nd hand rumors... reliable source... but 2nd hand info nonetheless...

Nebraska Danger reporting tentative schedule opens for them march 1.
This tells me two things.. 1. we may have a schedule before Halloween.. and 2 the start date is definitely in flux.

I'll bet Nebraska just has a bye first week. Every indication I have gotten says the season is kicking off Feb. 25. Feb. 26 for Sioux Falls..

Yes. There are probably some bye weeks for many teams to start the season, as usual.

Last weekend in Feb gives us 19 weeks before a June 30th rumored championship. that means 14 game schedule, 2 bye weeks, and three playoff rounds. Why didn't it work out that way last year.. I know we started the last weekend of Feb still. humm..

Just saw the Fever posted their schedule on Facebook. First date was 2/25. Have not seen anything from other teams yet.

Quick analysis, I see Reading and Lehigh play 4 times. This is very smart. I imagine others have the same setup.

Storm schedule rant
3 Sunday games to open the season.. lovely.. including one on Easter Sunday *facepalm* really!?!?! but, overall the Storm game dates are an improvement over last year.. the team did ok for it's part...4 Saturday's instead of 2..
now, SCREW YOU IFL.... Who's brilliant freaking idea was it to send the Storm to Reading (22 hours by bus), Allen (12), and Tri-Cities(22)... but NOT Chicago (9) Nebraska (4.5) or Cedar Rapids (6) (we DO play all three of those teams at home, however)
In perspective, I'm sure that out total travel is not as much as Arizona or either of the WA state teams... but why is is that reading and lehigh valley get to play each other 4 times to keep travel costs down, but we can't schedule a home and home in the midwest.
Bob Scott must be laughing his backside off right now. He might have claimed that the reason he left was Sioux Falls and Billings out spending him... but I think the real reason is that he foresaw this nightmare travel scenario coming a long time ago...
We Poo-Poo Bob round these parts because he's a mighty frugal man... but perhaps he got a wiff of this bovine excrement two years before the rest of the league.

I haven't looked at the schedule yet, but I agree that Sunday games don't do very well...especially on Easter Sunday (double facepalm).

Why does Omaha and Nebraska play 3 times and they are not even in the same conference?

From the Sioux Falls schedule take away the complaint about the three major travel trips I think the IFL did a fairly good job with it. Easter Sunday is an interesting day to have a football game, but I believe it was Jesus whom said, "Let them play football". but I may be misquoting here.
It looks like the Storm's schedule has 6 out of 14 games in conference, not bad compared to some teams.
Additionally, it looks like the Storm only face teams up to twice in the regular season! This can't be said for many of the teams in the IFL but I like that we get to play different teams as the year progresses.
Overall, I'm happy but sad. Happy because the schedule is out and I get to see my team in person next season for possibly 10 or 11 games! Sad because I really doubt I'll be making it to all the games this year like I was able to do last year. Oh well.

Easter Sunday is an interesting day to have a football game, but I believe it was Jesus whom said, "Let them play football". but I may be misquoting here. No, he said it. If you get the unedited and untranslated bible without the missing parts that various religious leaders took out ages ago, then you'll see it's one of the first things he proclaimed. BTW, I walked on water the other day. Had to, it was all over the road. It looks like the Storm's schedule has 6 out of 14 games in conference, not bad compared to some teams. Yeah, the schedule isn't balanced at all, but oh well, we'll have to live with it. With teams all over the map it costs money to balance the schedule, money some teams probably can't cough up. Additionally, it looks like the Storm only face teams up to twice in the regular season! This can't be said for many of the teams in the IFL but I like that we get to play different teams as the year progresses. I'm sure some of the reason they only play teams a maximum of two times is that no teams wanted to play them more than that...lol. Overall, I'm happy but sad. Happy because the schedule is out and I get to see my team in person next season for possibly 10 or 11 games! Sad because I really doubt I'll be making it to all the games this year like I was able to do last year. Oh well. Hey, at least you live next to a team. It can always be worse, like where I'm isolated at (I guess the beach makes up for it though).
