I give him the credit for turning the Ice around last year, his defense is why they won the Intense Conference regular season (that's being successful outside of Billings).
He brought in a lot of new faces this year, many without indoor experience, and admitted it will take time for them to get to where he wants them. I think he needs to take over the reigns of the defense again though, whoever the new coordinator is had a rough game yesterday. It's early though, only one game, no need to overreact. I expect the Ice to be extra motivated this coming week though.

Well, we got the answer on why the first onside's kick was called a redo: inadvertent whistle. I don't like to call officiating out as 99.9% of the time that's not what decides games and it's just sour grapes to harp on it. A mistake like this at the end of the game is extremely questionable to say the least though.
I just watched the OnDemand replay on B2 and there was a whistle right before Colorado jumped on it to get possession. How does the ref do that??...wow.
I also re-watched the second onside's kick attempt and it didn't look like New Mexico touched it first as Colorado claimed, the Colorado player jumped up and got it cleanly, but it was short of 10 yards.www.reporterherald.com/loveland-sports/ci_20051129

Inadvertant whistle?
Sounds like someone blew the whistle thinking when the ball hit the wall it was out of bounds and hence play over.
If true, I hope the league gets to these officials and schools them on the rules of play.
