Arenafootball2
The arenafootball2 league (af2) announced today that K A.J. HAGLUND has been named the league’s top kicker of all-time, as selected by a group of af2 head coaches past and present, members of the media and fans throughout the country. Haglund’s career was as quick as it was impressive. He set records in both the 2006 regular season and postseason – the only full season he spent in the af2. The 2006 af2 Kicker of the Year and 2008 AFL Kicker of the Year still owns the af2 record for career extra point accuracy (90.9 percent) and co-owns the af2 record for the longest field goal ever made in postseason play (57 yards). “A.J. had an outstanding af2 career,” said af2 President Jerry Kurz. “He had a strong leg and was nearly automatic on extra points. The experience he gained by playing in our league helped propel him to even greater success in the AFL.”
