according to poster 'askjeeves' on the other board:
"Big time brawl after the Wyoming/NewMexico game. From what I'm told, several New Mexico players attacked one of the Wyoming players in the loading dock. When security locked them out they destroyed the doors and broke the glass trying to get back in...crazy times in the IFL...at least 8 players arrested as of right now "

Probably time that the IFL starts suspending players for criminal actions like the NFL. I have seen no suspentions for either Sioux Falls player that were arrested for violent crimes. Were there ever any suspensions for any of the Billings players involved in the drug ring? Are any of those guys in the league or are they in jail? Let's set some examples here and let players know that getting arrested will not be tolerated.

They had a domestic case with James Jones in which Sioux Falls immediately released him. What more do you want done?

We also had the episode with Moore, but he did have a permit for the firearm, no one was hurt in the accidental discharge, and he was suspended for 3 games. I would say the Storm has handled both issues this year quickly and decisively.

Until he is suspended he could sign with any team (or re-sign with the Storm) and still play. Maybe I take domestic abuse more seriously than you, but I believe beating up a woman is certainly worthy of a suspension. I just can't get my head around why a man would beat up a woman. Makes no sense to me. I thought they released Moore as well without suspension. Just a straight release and then brought him back. Again, absolutely no disciplinary action took place. Moore shot a gun in a residential neighborhood. That is unbelievable. Are fans and other players in danger of being shot by this guy? Does he bring the gun in arenas with him? Some very serious questions need to be answered.

...I just can't get my head around why a man would beat up a woman. Makes no sense to me. *allegedly* paraphrased from the media reports of the time... alleged incident took place at 3am Sunday... police report not filed until 10am Sunday (why wait so long? The cop shop is a 24/7 deal, ya know) and then nothing was done by the police until 3pm Monday when the police were called to supervise her getting her belongings back, and the only reason he was arrested was for prior warrants, the source of which are never mentioned. Then, predictably the local "news" dropped the story and we've heard nothing since. someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but Moore's issue, based on state law, is a misdemeanor. As the saying goes boys, don't hate the player, hate the game. The Storm released him the same day the incident hit the paper. They did re-sign him 3 weeks later, but again, the issue may have been settled in the courts already, or perhaps the charge was dismissed, but again, the local A.D.D. media has moved on the something else. I too think the team has done what it could in both cases. I'm not aware of how marking a player "suspended" affects the 25 man roster limits, but doesn't releasing him for 3 weeks essentially accomplish the same thing? The LEAGUE, to my knowledge, has yet to levy a single stitch of disciplinary action to any player for off the field actions this season. Are you questioning the actions (or lack thereof) of the team, or the league?

Definitely inexcusable.

I am questioning the actions of the league.
My original question was asking, isn't it time the IFL starts suspending players for off the field issues? These New Mexico players deserve a league suspension. You can't have players starting fights in the parking lot and vandalizing other arenas. Simply unacceptable.

The incident just took place less than 3 days ago.
I would think the league would begin to address this issue this week.
I doubt they will do nothing.
