I hope this isn't a blowout. I think it will be though.

Time for the rematch! TC has a lot of ground to make up from 2 weeks ago, especially with the paltry numbers they put up against WY this last week & the way SF handled GB. Every week is different and like Chris Berman says "that's why they play the game" Anything can happen but I agree tcfeverams I still think that the Storm is too much for the Fever at this point. Hope it is at least a good game for you to go & enjoy. Tell Ms. Carr I said HI. I dont think she likes me too much...she gave me the finger at last year's United Bowl. LOL

TC has the athletes to pull off the upset, but they'll needs to play mistake free football, something a Kurtiss Riggs coached football team has historically been very good at is wearing, grinding, and lulling opposing teams into making mistakes and then having the offense to capitalize on them.
You can't give a team as good as Sioux Falls is any extra possessions or free yards. You take away 2 INT's and 3 (or was it 4) 4th down turnovers and Green Bay played the Storm pretty even otherwise.

Bouncer typically I agree with you. But to say that if you take away 2 picks & 3-4 4th down stops is like saying "if SF hadn't scored so many points GB would have been right there with 'em" A good team like SF creates those turnovers whether it be on downs, ints, or a long fg/punt. We saw basically all of those things in both the last 2 weeks. Lillard was running for his life, they were going for it on 4th down, they were kicking 40+ yd fgs as punts, they tried a desperate on-side kick that was laughable & although GB didn't do some of those things they still were never really in this game.

Oh, I agree... I was just doing the math in my head.. the Storm scored 5 times directly Green Bay turned the ball over... get some points and kick off... I've seen that approach work for us ... against Wichita in 2010.. All we could do it seemed was kick FG's but that kept us close, and a score, stop, score at the end we escaped..
I like that the defense has played schematically sound, disciplined football, and if they can continue that and we can get Davis back 100% healthy (Basksas played a lot, and wore #99, i'm guessing he was an emergency DL)
You should have figured out by now that I always downplay the ability of the Storm, not because I don't think they're head and shoulders above the rest of the league on numerous levels, I am just the guy always looking for things to improve upon, and I'll be damned if they aren't making my job darn hard these last two games. :-)
Two things have to happen for TC to pull this one out. They need no turnovers, and no drive extending penalties, and they'll need to keep Dixon and CO off the field as much as possible, and hope for at least two turnovers... ok that's 4... either way it's a tall task, and if they get behind early, they need to keep fighting... TC and GB both you could see the air release after they were down 21...that's 3 scores... in indoor football... I've seen that erased in about 90 seconds..

WRONG, only ONE thing is needed for the Fever to pull it off. An act of god. Nothing short of that will do.

Fever can win. Get up early, get some plays on defense, hit hard, no plays off, play a near perfect game, get the W.

I'm not at liberty to discuss the specifics of any events that may or may not have taken place at last year's United Bowl as the litigation is still pending. In all actuality though, it was probably late 3rd quarter, the Fever were getting frustrated & since we sit in the 2nd row (if you're familiar with the Arena in SF, there are only a couple rows that are right on the field) we were talking a little smack to the Fever players. Nothing profane or offensive, just sutff like "Terry's gonna break your ankles when he blows by you & stuff" Maybe at that point in the game it wasn't appropriate but it was United Bowl & we were into the game. Ms. Carr was sitting on the other side of the scorer's table from us & apparently was not to happy that we were smack talking her little boys & so after ANOTHER SF score & my section was giving each other hi-fives she glared over at me & BAM! flies the bird, I laughed at her. It makes for a good story.

@bouncer, The Fever did do a couple things well in the first meeting this year. They were able to do a pretty good job of containing Dixon from escaping the pocket & making something happen with his feet. What the Fever learned though is that when you take one facet of Dixon's game from him it means that you are not focusing on his throwing ability & with our WRs thats going to create a major problem. Like a 66-15 kind of problem. TC went into the game with the mindset of keeping Dixon in front of them, they did a good job of it but they couldn;t get him on the ground so he was able to extend plays long enough to get someone open & it took usually 2 dedicated guys to do it. On the other side of the ball I really think is where TC should be concerned, granted they still have a #3 or 4 offense in terms of ppg but not in the last 2 weeks. TC could do absolutely nothing on offense to help the defense out. Because SF can score at will and put big points on the board you have to have an offense that can do the same thing. 137 total yards of offense and OL that couldnt stop a thing is what needs the most attention going into this game IMO. I think TC is going to have to wish for the ball to bounce their way a couple times on those coin-flip plays (insert several big plays Allen made against SF) in addition to playing their best football.

Let's also not discount Korey Williams, he is emerging as a HUGE threat for the Storm. I think that we could do a lot more to utilize him. He is a big playmaker for us.

Everyone goes to the gutter occasionally though.

Your team losing isn't really a good reason to lose all class and treat a fan like that. That WAS a really tough and emotional loss of course. That sucks that happened, but I don't think that's who she is 99.9% of the time. I hope not anyway. She seems to be a nice lady, respected in our area. She really cares about the team, and treats the players and staff top notch. It's disappointing to hear that she would have lost control like that.
