...of the 1,000 yard club. Per the IFL stats, he has 1,032 yards rushing. He becomes Green Bay's second 1,000-yard rusher (Marquette Smith, 2000 Bombers)
Council is the first 1,000-yard rusher indoors since Fred Jackson popped for 1,770 yards in 2005.
Complete list of 1,000 yard rushers (this includes playoff yardage):
2012 - LaRon Council, Green Bay Blizzard - 1,032 yards (and counting) 2005 - Fred Jackson, Sioux City Bandits - 1,770 yards 2004 - Rayshawn Askew, Ohio Valley Greyhounds - 1,047 yards 2004 - Wes Cates, Tri Cities Diesel - 1,026 yards 2003 - Jon Hall, Lincoln Capitols - 1,108 yards 2002 - Baron "Birdie" Dockery, Ohio Valley Greyhounds - 1,603 yards 2000 - Marquette Smith, Green Bay Bombers - 1,283 yards 2000 - Quentin Cradle, Bismarck Blaze - 1,460 yards (figures don't include a conference title game with no stats available)

Thanks
I believe all eight had the 1,000 in the regular season (Cates and Hall, IIRC, didn't make the playoffs in 2003).

Hall made the playoffs. We were division champions in 2003.
Before the next season Carolyn Shiver put Clinton Childs on ESPN2's 'Cold Pizza' and claimed he was the NIFL's leading rusher the year before. He, in fact, was not. It was Hall.

Very good accomplishment, I love that teams actually run the ball enough to get a 1000 yard rusher

I definitely agree with that. I love to see a team run the ball over an opposing defense, especially when they know it's coming and still can't stop it (that's true domination).

LaRon credited the offensive line and the receivers for making this possible. He's a fine young man and a great fit for Coach Fullers team. It's been a joy watching him play this season.

I'll be rooting heavily for him and the Blizzard in the playoffs.
