All-UIFL Team Awards

FT. MYERS, FL - The UIFL is pleased to announce the All-UIFL yearly awards for the 2012 season.
With the specialty awards, five teams are represented, including four of the six playoff teams.
Unbeaten Florida earned the most, nearly sweeping the South awards with Terrance Jones (Defensive Player of the Year), Ross Gornall (Special Teams Player of the Year) and Michael Taylor (Coach of the Year). Eastern Kentucky receiver Aric Evans is named the South’s Offensive Player of the Year.
The North awards were spread out as Cincinnati, Erie and Johnstown are all represented. Explosion quarterback A.J. McKenna is named Offensive Player of the Year, while Cincinnati defensive lineman James Spikes earned Defensive Player of the Year. The only non-playoff player to earn a yearly award is Generals kicker Matt Domonkos. Erie head coach Shawn Liotta was named North Coach of the Year.
