Saw the status had been updated saying Bloomington's left the IFL to join a TBD league.
Where'd you hear that and when should we expect to hear which one?

Certainly my best guess is the CIFL, but that's completely speculative on my part.

That would make sense - geographically

Is the IFL set with these 10 teams?

It could be, but I think there's more to come.

From what I remember (I could be wrong though), I don't think Chicago signed any players on the transaction page. I hope it's not a sign of them leaving too. What a crazy off season it had been already.

The Omaha Beef were finally removed from the IFL website. It appears as though the league will go with 10 teams for 2013 (listed on the first post of this thread). I guess the Quad Cities expansion fell through as well as the rumors of ex-AFL teams joining.

Updated the status of the first post to reflect the OMAHA BEEF being sold and playing in the CPIFL for 2013.

Wow the IFL is really starting to go down a certain road, first they added a questionable Carolina team and it went away only too eventually fold and they also added what we already new was a joke of a team in the APFL last season and now they are gone and I know it had somethings to do with owner dieing but shouldn't they had already have had everything set in place for the season for the most part? I really hope the good regional teams that fit in the CPIFL landscape come over next season and maybe push those lesser teams out and make it strong from ground up.

I know it had somethings to do with owner dieing but shouldn't they had already have had everything set in place for the season for the most part? you have to look @ it form a different light.. something like this- owner dies, kids take the money and run, Cheyenne Warriors Football Club LLC closes. all contracts and agreements, etc are gone some one elce starts CHEYENNE WARRIORS PROFESSIONAL INDOOR FOOTBALL TEAM, LLC.., maby buys out the assects of Cheyenne Warriors Football Club LLC doesn't mean they are "in" the league @ all any more then I would be if I started "Cheyenne Warriors pro football INC"

All legal wrangling and tragic deaths aside, this leaves the IFL in a really tough spot having to fill 14 holes in its schedule with the season less than a month away. We can debate whether or not Cheyenne should have been admitted in the first place in another thread, and we have. Arena dates at this point would be difficult to move, so it's going to be chaos for sure.
