CPIFL Holds Private Meeting with Interested Owners and Staff
by Champions Professional Indoor Football League August 11, 2012
League will have a commissioner and executive board. Owners impressed with the experience and camaraderie in the meeting.
Council Bluffs, IA– A new professional indoor football league, The Champions Professional Indoor Football League (CPIFL), held a series of meetings this weekend in Council Bluffs, IA to discuss all league matters and franchises.
The private meeting, which included interested owners and executive staff, lasted all weekend and was hailed by those in attendance as a major success.
“This is a world class, professional league. Everyone in the room walked away knowing this will be a stable league, that will bring significant experience to the table and stress strong league camaraderie amongst the interested owners and staff,” said Bob Scott, owner of the Sioux City Bandits.
In the meeting, the league discussed and tentatively established a league commissioner and executive board. An announcement is pending final contract
“It was important for interested owners and staff in the room to walk away knowing this league will have a commissioner and executive board intimately involved in the long-term stability and success of the league,” said Jeremy Ploeger, Owner of the soon to be announced Kansas City franchise.
The league is finalizing contract negotiations with the tentative commissioner and executive board, with plans to make a formal announcement in the coming days.
"Minor league pro football is a weird universe filled with bounced checks, unpaid bills, empty promises, out-right lies, empty arenas, endless women, endless booze, occasionally drugs, endless trips on rented buses to towns on the outskirts of the Big Time and, for one night a week, a football game." -- Bill Shea
