At least the Blackjacks were so unknown that fans and sponsors didn't get hurt.

Looks like the Huntington Hammer are the next to be considered as FOLDED under the rules if the below is true. No one picked Huntington though, so it doesn't affect our contest. Huntington was originally considered as folded right before the UIFL season was set to start, but the league brought them back as a travel-only team. Instead of using players themselves though, they are allegedly going to use REPLACEMENT PLAYERS (the Western PA Wildcatz from the WPIFL semi-pro league).

Given their status from the "rebirth," I'd only score it if the rosters were largely different game to game.

It's moot for them since no one picked them, but solely bringing in a semi-pro team as replacement players is against the rules. The North Alameda Knights are playing within the rules so far...they are being ran by the Norcal Knights semi-pro team, but have advertised to their players and put out an open call for players looking to play for the AIF team. Huntington has gone from a real team last year to one using replacement players this year.

Looks like Port Huron's in a mite bit of trouble, too. How many players leaving the team does it take to qualify for the dead pool?

Ha, players can come and go, but if the whole team is let go and a full squad of non-payed players is brought in, then it comes into question where we have to investigate.

Darn, I didn't select Port Huron, only one person did. I bought into the new owner's speech about doing it right and not repeating mistakes of the previous owner last year. Well, Port Huron's one of the teams on watch right now.

It looks like everyone's pay was cut to the CIFL League Minimum (which is technically $50). We'll have to see how new a roster it is.

Huntington Hammer are the second team to be declared officially folded under the contest rules. Even though they're a travel-only team, they brought in a semi-pro team called the Western Pennsylvania Wildcatz from the WPIFL semi-pro league to play in their stead, using Wildcatz uni's and helmets: No one picked the Huntington Hammer in the contest though, so it doesn't affect the standings at all.
