Springfield was in a nailbiter till the end.
Kansas won in a blow out, but there was a brawl there as well.

Kansas won in a blow out, but there was a brawl there as well. Not surprising. The semi-pro teams that have never played in the APFL before usually come in with a chip on their shoulder and then when a team like Kansas or Iowa gets up on them big their feelings get hurt and then little things start getting to them and all it takes is one push and then a punch is thrown, then the benches empty. I still recall the fight Kansas started against Wichita after getting their ass beat that ended up getting Kansas a cheap title as declared by the APFL-ran Ralph Adams, who coincidently also runs the Koyotes.

Quote from the Kansas Koyote PA Announcer during their brawl...
"Save it for the Blackhawks"
that is as classy as the Storm and Bandit fans are on these boards.

It is, but don't expect it to be regulaly updated. The best it's ever been is perhaps three weeks in a row with regular updates one year, but that was an aberation. Don't rely on it, be surprised by it when it's updated but also realize that some updates will be wrong or are skewed by the administrators point of view. It's a great example of revisionist history as well.

Yeah, it still has standings updated from somewhere in the middle of the 2008 regular season, pre-season 2008 schedules and a headline of the Koyotes Championship. Just wondering if perhaps something had changed and I never got the memo.

How was the crowd last night?

I'd say probably 1250-1500.
A little smaller than expected.
Hopefully the first Koyote game will draw a bigger crowd.

I'd say 900, but it could be what Andrew said as well.
There was a good contigent of Beef fans in attendance that helped create a lot of noise for the Blackhawks, and that was nice to see. That was the most Beef fans I've seen at a Blackhawk game and I hope it continues. They liked the hockey-like bench clearing fight, but I'm not sure if that will be enough to bring all of them back. Most had never seen such a lopsided affair before, but some of them realize the games against the Koyotes will be better so I hope some of them return. Four members of the Beef's front office were also in attendance as well as Ricky Lebeda, the kicker, and they sat next to the Blackhawks' bench. Purple Bear and I had nice front row seats and the rest of the Beef fans moved down to the empty seats behind us, creating a nice cheering section that reminded me of some of the Beef away games.
I can't wait for the game against the Koyotes on the 9th...bring it Koyotes.

it had to be more than 900 BC. They had 1000 tickets out for the game before game day.
