How many APFL teams do you think might join the IFL?

I don't see any APFL teams making the cut.

Iowa and Kansas would be nice, but it's unlikely.
Speaking of...
How do Iowa and Conroe do (in terms in attendance, management, etc.)?

I believe Iowa is managed well. But reports I've heard say they only average about 1000 to 1500 in attendance.
Conroe WAS managed well, but only drew about 500 fans per game.

Phydeaux do you think Beaumont is a market the IFL would be interested in?

If solid ownership could be found in Beaumont, they'd be a great fit.
Iowa is ran very well, but they would need investment help. I believe the owner would still like to run things, so perhaps a situation like Dakota Crow's, where he is the minority owner but runs the team might work. They probably averaged 1k this year, but with good advertising they could do very well there.
Kansas would need new ownership in my opinion.

APFL is a joke until those teams can foot a real amount of money then I wouldn't take any of them serious although the blackhawks have a good owner.

Do you mean to make the move happen or to make the team IFL viable? Either way, I was under the impression that Kansas was actually run well...though the whole ABAish nature of the APFL was their doing. Does Kansas draw well? And thanks for the info about Conroe and Iowa!

Kansas is not run well and doesn't draw all that well - although I guess for anyone to show up at the games after all they've been through up there - maybe they do draw well. I think Topeka as a venue is a viable option - they should be able to draw well if a new stable ownership group was there.

And thanks for the info about Conroe and Iowa! It's my understanding that the Iowa owner doesn't have the funds to afford IFL, so that's why he would need investors. There were talks in the past to join the UIFA, but he would've had to give up too much control of the team.

I believe Wichita will be better next season. Its not always easy that first year when joining a tougher league (the APFL doesn't exactly set teams up for success, playing semi-pro creampuffs is no way to become a good team).

I think that the fact that Wink Hartman was putting most of his focus this season on getting the new arena built, and less focus on the Wichita Wild, had a lot to do with their lack of success, both on the field and in the seats. I think they'll do a farcry better in 2009 whenever he doesn't have the arena issue to deal with.
