St. Joe used to have a team, I suppose they could again. Does Joplin have an arena? I'd love to see St. Joe try with a legitimate organization, something they've never had. Joplin has something called White Knight Arena - I've no idea what that is.

Yeah, it's very unlike Ralph Adams. I'm curious to know the full story. Perhaps Kansas wanted to save money and not travel up to Sioux City to get smoked.

I'd be willing to bet the Beef will be back next year. Right around the middle of June after the IFL season ends. Just my prediction.
Hey, BTW didn't the APFL have a problem with the blackhawks signing a bunch of Beef players at the end of the season in the past? Isn't that why they had that rule about no IFL players allowed in the first place? Honest question.

Doobi, you're correct. Ralph and Ted apologized, after the fact of course, for allowing that to happen. They said that the rule had been if you recorded a stat in the IFL you were not eligible to sign an APFL contract, unless you initially started the season with the APFL team. For some reason they changed the rule this year, but said next year it's going back to the old way. Pretty busch league if you ask me and I'm keeping my fingers crossed we don't have to play in this league again. Go Bandits. Yep.

So many different ways these points of contention have been thrown out.
Different versions of "the truth". Funny how that works, eh?
Indoor football never changes.

Why limit it to stats and why just the IFL. The whole rule is stupid. Players should be allowed to be signed from one league to the next without penalty. Now from team to team within the league that is a different story. Don't even get me started if the teams are owned by the same owner.

If you are just going to wait until the IFL is done and then load up on those players, why not just have a 3 week season after the IFL is done for the championship. It's certainly not the team that brought you there.

Forego the IFL rule and freeze the rosters prior to the end of the IFL regular season.. simple.

Does the APFL even have official game day rosters submitted to the league? If no how would they know who would be eligible when the freeze takes place. In a league that payment is an option I am surprised they would have a rule on player eligibility from one league to another.

There is a roster freeze, even.

Gameday rosters have been hit or miss for many away teams.

Roster deadline each week is the end of the day on Thursday before each game. The roster freeze has always been the roster submitted for the 2nd to last week of the regular season. This year it was a specific day of June 18th.
As far as IFL players, there has always been a deadline for those players to be added to a roster that was prior to the IFL season ending. However, this year, the owners wanted it changed to match the regular roster freeze. In the past, Omaha and S.Falls always made the playoffs, so it never came into play. This year it did, and the Express had the opportunity to take advantage.
