DEVELOPMENTAL INDOOR FOOTBALL LEAGUE TO DEBUT IN MARCH 2013
The sport of indoor football will become one league larger when then the 2013 season rolls around. The Developmental Indoor Football League (DIFL) is schedule to begin its inaugural season on March 30, 2013. The DIFL will debut a 12-week schedule followed by the DIFL “Glory Bowl I” League Championship game.
The league will be operated by a Board of Directors and DIFL President, Damon Ware. “I think the time is right for the sport of indoor football to be shaken up a bit, states Ware. And that is exactly what I plan to do.” I can assure you the DIFL will bring to the table more than what most would expect in its first season of operation.
“Our league motto is: “The Road to Glory Begins Here” and the DIFL firmly believes that it has the ability to deliver the total package that current and potential team owners seek in running a successful football franchise. The DIFL will offer a solid league management system that provides plenty of local resources to assist teams in sales and marketing, promotions, community involvement and player development, states Ware.”
The main goal of the DIFL is to present a quality family oriented product that is affordable, entertaining and enjoyable. The league will ensure all teams play every game and that the players are all compensated. The league will also assist teams in cutting down on expenses that include team meals, travel and venues.
The majority of our teams will play in small-sized stadiums with capacities in the 1,000 to 3,000 range which we believe is the ideal size to capture the excitement of the game that produces end to end action.
Fans of the league will vote on the league’s Most Valuable Player and players to be named to the All-League Team. The league has opted not to schedule an All-Star game, but hold a national combine in which the expenses of the All-League team selected players will be covered.
Remember, “The Road to Glory Begins Here” and the DIFL looks to a very promising and exciting 2013 inaugural season.
