After performing overwhelmingly good last week (though I didn't get the "closeness" of any of the games right)...
Port Huron's offense is still pretty anemic, and dare I say "boring?" Because it is. Dayton has the CIFL's best defense, and their offense should be quite improved. They should beat the Patriots pretty handily, 48-21.
Marion's a very tough place to play, as it's a compact field (small end zones and about 10' narrower than other indoor fields)...but the indoor rules help avoid some of the issues, there, and Erie's played there before. I consider Erie and Saginaw on the same level, and we saw what Marion did when playing at that level. Erie 51-40.
Kentucky didn't play a preseason game, and Saginaw has already played a regular season game. Even if the Sting weren't a better team, that'd give them an advantage here. Sting 45-24.
Sure, the Drillers will be better at home than away, and now they've played a game. But Owensboro mauled them last week. Rage 37-30.

All those pre-season games for Port Huron sure paid off, eh? Another loss like this and what do you want to bet the Pat's owner doesn't bring both of his teams to the finish line (he also owns Detroit).

Detroit's only there for Port Huron to get some wins. I think they'll both limp through.

We shall see, lol (I think one or both will go down).

Newspaper in Dayton estimated about 2500 in attendance at Hara last night for the Sharks' opener. That's the largest indoor crowd in the Dayton area (e.g. including the Silverbacks in Troy) since the UIF->NIFL mess.

Erie goes to 1-0 and Marion drops to 0-2 on the season.
