Thanks! Rockin' the new equipment. A new Nikon D7000 along with a 90mm macro lens pulling double duty as a telephoto with its f/2.8 speed. It passed the audition. =)

I'm happy if I can get auto to work on my camera, lol. The sad thing is I'm finally going to see Angkor Wat in about a month and all I have is a Canon Powershot Digital Camera with 7.1 mega pixels and 4x optical zoom.

Mega pixels are overrated when it comes to judging the quality of the gear. 7.1 is plenty if you're not going to blow it up to a poster and 4x zoom is enough for about anything outside of sporting events and wildlife. Your Canon should do just fine on that trip. Just clean the lens good and take a spare memory card and battery. =)

Oh yeah, I always have plenty of 16gb memory cards and lithium AA battery's.
I actually got a memory card wet once while para-sailing (I wasn't supposed to get wet, but they dragged me in the water anyway, lol). I thought I had emptied my pockets completely, but afterwards I found a memory card with photos on it in my pocket. I used a hair dryer to dry it out and it worked, but I've since found out that putting it in a jar with rice is the safer way (that's worked for my cell phones many times). Ok, I think I'm getting off topic now.

Plus hauling around the SLR means another gear bag to pack, check, tend to, and haul around. your PNS fits in your pocket..

And the pushup patrol is getting bigger and bigger. There were a few kids doing jumping jacks instead and for the last two touchdowns grown-ups joined in. Great pictures of the game. I got a few but it is harder to shoot from Sec. 209 row 11.
