I think even the people who didn't want to believe most of us when we said the Beef would be less than stellar this year are starting to believe it after the Beef got routed again, this time in Dodge City by a score of 20-60. This drops the Beef to 3-5 and in a three way tie for second to last in the standings. It doesn't get any easier from here with Sioux City, Lincoln, Bloomington, and Salina left to play.

I only saw the Law once this season, but they do have some talent.

They do.
I hate seeing the team like this, but they went on a great run for many years so I can't complain. I sure would love it if they pulled off the upset in Sioux City though.

This has been an ongoing disaster. This starts at the top with ownership. Absolutely clueless. Does absolutely nothing to help put that team in the position to win. Knows absolutely nothing about sports or football. It's been documented all off season the crap this guy has been doing, these results are not surprising to anyone in the organization. Traveling day of game to Dodge City? Seriously? I guess he saved a few hundred bucks. Giving up 60+ points almost every game? Three wins, two against an 0-7 team and one against a 3-7 team (which went down to the last play). This guy is even making the crack owner is look good right now.

I actually miss the IFL days when there was actually real talent on the field. Now I'm spending $40 a ticket to watch a bunch of semi-professional athletes play.

I'm glad for every owner the team has had, because it kept the team alive. That being said, the previous owner's tenure didn't end on the best note.
The CPIFL does things cheaper, but if current ownership can't afford to play in the IFL, then that is what we have to accept. I think the CPIFL is a very good league and has some great teams. It is too bad current ownership can't afford to put a team together on the field that we're used to seeing though. I don't think we're spoiled per se since the team has never won a championship, but they have definitely been a top level team for each year of their existence until this year. Maybe next year the owner will make changes after seeing how things worked out for them this year.

I sure would love it if they pulled off the upset in Sioux City though. So would fans of Wichita, Salina and Dodge City

Losing twice to Sioux City in a season. The only other time that's happened was when Fred Jackson was there.

That's great that this owner "saved" the Beef buy purchasing them, unfortunately the quality of the product has gone severely down hill, especially this year. It's now looking like a semipro football organization and the amazing thing is that Omaha has, by far, the highest ticket prices in the league. Wonder how long fans will put up with that with the quality of product that is being produced.

We've gotten spoiled by the Beef's success (not as spoiled as Sioux Falls fans though). Sometimes teams don't perform the way we want. We all blame ownership for that, but it could still be turned around next year. I'm definitely disappointed with the season, but I still hold out hope things will get turned around next season (maybe ownership will see that how they handled things this year wasn't the way to go about it).
Ticket prices may be higher compared to other teams, but for me they still seem reasonable. NFL ticket prices are ridiculously high though.

Sad thing is, I don't even hesitate paying $100 a ticket for husker football games because I know the quality of players on the field is good. BY NO MEANS AM I SAYING THEY NEED TO WIN EVERY GAME, but it looks like a zoo out there sometimes. I didn't go to tonight's game. I wont continue to pay $30 some times $49 a ticket to watch semi-pro football. The beef are pricing themselves out of the market. Omaha Stormchaser (royals) baseball games are as low as $8 a ticket. I'm a huge Husker baseball supporter and paid $11 a ticket to watch the big ten baseball tournament here in Omaha today. You can find entertainment for the family at a way cheaper price.

Beef won tonight over Bloomington, but they face a buzz saw next week in Salina.
