I have no answers here, just the questions. By indoor football standards, the CPIFL season was a huge, boffo success. In that I mean there were no teams folding in the season, no travel teams and very little public drama. Four teams appeared solid this season — Wichita, Salina, Dodge City, Sioux City. On the bubble — Omaha, Lincoln, Bloomington, Oklahoma and Kansas. Will Lincoln have an arena next season? If no, do they fold, move or merge with sister Omaha? Expansion or replace lost teams? Where? Independence, Mo. (as rumors suggest the return of Kansas City to there), Enid, Kearney (with new team or that team there that keeps looking for a league), Rapid City, Fargo, Grand Forks, Council Bluffs, Oklahoma City, Lawton, Bismark, Joplin, Springfield, St. Joseph, Columbia, NW Arkansas, Colorado, Wyoming, Dakota Dome, Indian or state casino arena? Am I missing someplace? Will there be defections from the IFL? Will there be defections to the IFL? Merger? Merger, followed by cutting out the dead flesh? Let the silly season begin.

The last part's been rumored, so we'll see.
Lincoln will fold. Kansas already announced they won't be back during halftime of their last game. Bloomington is rumored to be folding (they also had paychecks bound during the season).
