When do you think they'll announce?

I got pretty solid confirmation that Erie is dead. The info you mention is a month old according to my source.

I heard a travel-only Erie squad may happen, but probably a new team. The latest I heard was Cape Fear, Buffalo, Lockport as full teams, and Fort Erie, Ontario, and Cleveland as travel-only teams.

I'm just sitt'n back and waiting now. If Erie goes I'll be at every game, if not I'll be waiting on 2017. As each day goes by it becomes more difficult. The candle is on low glow right now but not quite out yet.

The only concern is that they're behind the gun as far as getting great players in since most have gone elsewhere.

If anything happens with Erie this year, I don't expect high Quality of play. Although I understand the top notch coaching staff is intact.
I see it as get through this year mainly to keep the team going and keeping the game alive so as not to alienate the local fans. Stay alive for 2016 while building strength for the IFA/SIFL for 2l07. Hoping 2017 the IFA/SIFL will have gained respect as a viable league.

There may be a slight change in coaching.
2016 will be a terrible year for the IFA/SIF, so I'm not sure it help that league much, but Erie staying alive and playing will definitely help to keep some of their fans and sponsors.

What?? Erie is not done? The owner said the team was done for the year and gave that crazy no medical (training staff)? It is March 3 can they pull this off??
Looking like the SIF is just one team (Cape Fear) playing anybody they can find that is not in a real league. Maybe outside chance, Erie, Marion, Saginaw and Cape Fear could come together for a nice league next year, what was wrong with a 5 team league (add one other team, maybe Chicago?)??

Cape Fear just shut it down and the end has come for the SIF. I guess Erie is also done again.
Indoor football is in really bad shape. IFL and CIF will go on, I am sure the AIF will have several disasters this year, already losing Marion, Saginaw, Louisiana, Texas, some other team the Gators, wow!

Yep. They decided to call it quits.
AIF has already lost 6 teams that were announced on their schedule, with more to come.

Just read Lockport Thunder WILL play in the SIF. The team will be coached by former Steel City HC Zenn Bliss. So for now its Buffalo and Lockport in the SIF? ?

Where did you read that? Cape Fear owns the SIF and IFA. If they're not playing I don't think they'd let those two teams carry on for them if they have plans to do better in 2017. Perhaps if those two teams are playing they'll make their own league, or play an independent schedule.

Ugh. What a league of woe that would be.
