They are improved - no doubt. But honestly - River City gave the game away. Especially at the end - they had a guy open on each of the three downs, and didn't hit him - then the QB fumbled the ball away. I think if someone figures out how to cover Solomon - they're in trouble. Impossible. Solomon needs to be doubled at all times, that's all there is to it. No one man in this league can cover him one on one.

I would say attendence was about half maybe a little bit more. CS did do that great mainly because he was out with that injury for a while. The biggest surprise i saw was the running back. He had 101 yards for the game.

lots of short carries with one or two big ones. With no CS in the game, 80 % or more - rush plays, Solomon runs out, it's a pass. It was't tought to figure out, they just couldn't stop the pass. I would guess attendence to be in the 1500-1700 range. ALthough I did count (between pregame and half) over 200 kids on the field... that was only part of the way through halftime when I quit counting.
I think I wans't the only one forgetting the independent season for the beginning of the Wild - I know several of the "Wild Records" set tonight could only be if the independent year is thrown out completely.

I dont get why you guys hate the kids in the stands. on the plus side they are 1) louder than the stupid adults there.lol (except for danny and his crew in 114. 2) they provide more money to the team (technicly parents pay that though) The only thing I dont like them is those stupid halftime shows and stuff. but thats not the kids fault tell management to shorten the time that they are out there.

It's not necessarily the kids in the stands - although it would be nice if a parent would supervise one once in a while - having them running all around, tripping over my feet, standing on the chairs in front of me, etc. All those kids on the field are free tickets - maost of the parents with them as well. It's the never ending halftime shows. I don't blame the kids at all - they are all excited. It would be great if some of them actually ever came back. They're not usually there for the game - they don't usually even stick around after they are on the field. It is completely management. 100% no doubt. I've been to games at at least four or five other venues - haven't had the same experience.
I wish there was a more honest way to report attendence - don't say there's 4000 when half are free tickets - kids or adults. Speaking of half time shows - the drum line was one of teh most interesting I've seen in a long time. Not bad at all!

Yea that was pretty good. I think if they want to claim they are a top level league then they should try and get some reall bands and stuff during halftime.

The issues with half times is you need to support local. Sioux Falls always has some cheesy halftime shows, but it's done crisply and on time.. of course, the reason the folks in Sioux Falls are there is the game, that's not quite the case in Wichita, yet. Things have turned around I was at BOTH of your last two home openers, things are getting better..on the field and off, just give it time.

The Eagle reporter was watching a baseball game on his computer at least teh two times I walked by him - he probably wouldn't have noticed if the stats were incorrect.
