It's good to see that it did not take you long to pick up on the sarcasm of that statement Charlie.

Charlie, it is sad that you are obviously envious of these brilliant business minds and great human beings.

A Kansas City team led by someone with the experience and knowledge of either the Beefmakers owner or the former owner of the Renegade would be a huge asset to the league.

That's great that this owner "saved" the Beef buy purchasing them, unfortunately the quality of the product has gone severely down hill, especially this year. It's now looking like a semipro football organization and the amazing thing is that Omaha has, by far, the highest ticket prices in the league. Wonder how long fans will put up with that with the quality of product that is being produced.

Well all of the Beef-makers press releases keep referring to tomorrow's game as the last game at the Pershing. Conveniently, no mention of the the future of the Lincoln team beyond that. But, judging by the 300 fans a game they have been drawing at home this season, probably not unreasonable to believe that tomorrow night will be the end of indoor football in Lincoln (again).

This has been an ongoing disaster. This starts at the top with ownership. Absolutely clueless. Does absolutely nothing to help put that team in the position to win. Knows absolutely nothing about sports or football. It's been documented all off season the crap this guy has been doing, these results are not surprising to anyone in the organization. Traveling day of game to Dodge City? Seriously? I guess he saved a few hundred bucks. Giving up 60+ points almost every game? Three wins, two against an 0-7 team and one against a 3-7 team (which went down to the last play). This guy is even making the crack owner is look good right now.

With the Pershing Center currently scheduled to close in August, what is the future for the Lincoln Haymakers?

Beef definitely look more productive with a veteran QB, but it's tough to win games win you give up over 62 points a game to non-Kansas Koyote teams. Kind of ironic to watch that and see former defensive coordinator and head coach James Kerwin in the stands at the game. Still haven't figured out that whole staff shakeup from last year for the Beef.

Omaha's woes are more of a result from the situation that arises when one of those guys who thinks, "Wouldn't it be cool to own a football team," buys a team and has no experience in sports, or the business of sports, other than being a big fan boy. People close to this organization have been talking about this rapid decline coming this season for quite some time now.

Good news for the Beef is that they have the Haymakers twice. And since Rich Tokheim, the owner of the Beef, bought the Haymakers, the Haymakers have become absolutely inept. Not sure if this is intentional, but when you "trade" away your best defensive to your other team for nothing...it would appear that he does not want Lincoln to be competitive.

Interesting that Yost was not promoted to head coach, since he is the former head coach and has years of indoor experience. Instead they promote a guy to head coach who has never coached indoor? There is a lot in weird stuff going on with the Beefmakers ownership right now...

Good news for Beef fans. Minimum ticket price $23 for a team in this league??? Won't be attending many if any games in person this year...

From what I have heard, Steve Heimann is a very professional head coach and right now one of the few bright spots for the Beef organization. Looking forward to his debut this weekend and hopefully a long, successful tenure for Coach Heimann as Beef head coach.

Unfortunately, the purchase of Lincoln does not appear to be as noble as when Bob Scott purchased the Beef to save them. Unlike that situation, word has it that he has both teams working as one, both teams' coaches talking to each other to decide which players should play where, and even apparently a joint tryout this weekend. Wonder why they have not made an actual announcement that Lincoln is under new ownership? Maybe it's because the owner's kid was starting fights in the stands with the Lincoln fans at the Pershing last year? Or maybe just because they don't want fans to know that both teams area operating as a single organization... Need to keep an eye on roster moves the Beefmakers make this season with each other.
