naw, it's not worth it. Doobi's online persona just has an inferiority complex that is second to none.

I am sorry for causing such a stir it was not my intention. I just wanted so bad to have my Outlaws be the one to knock the Storm off their perch, but this cloud over the season took some of the joy out of that.
And Outlaw I am behind our team 100%. The only home games I have missed since they started was for the birth of my two boys, who are now 5 and 7 and now come to the games with me. They are great entertainment for Billings and am looking forward to many more years of supporting them. I am also looking forward to an exciting championship run and couldn't be happier for what the players and coaches of accomplished so far.

Karma for what Doobi? kicking your asses for 5 straight years? We went 9-3, the league took the playoffs from us in a conference call, and we'll be watching the playoffs from the golf course just like the Bandits always do. No hatred in that post.

Yep, when the teams are in the UIF next year...or AF2...or whatever, unless they're dumb enough to stay in the IFL with all the crap going on in this farce of a league. And if they're that dumb, it's time for people to find new hobbies. At least the NIFL was competent for its first four years until the UIFers decided they wanted to run it themselves (and then found themselves scrambling on the outside after CS wished them well in their endeavor). The NIFL in 2004 was a mess and UIFA teams that left in 2005 made the right decision. Carolyn Shiver and the other crooked owners were going to run that league into the ground no matter what. If the UIFA teams had stayed, they'd have been run into the ground with them. Unbelievable that you still harp on this.

You sound like a flippin preacher. I thought you were a chick until I noticed your bio. This place really is not for the "sensitive". A kick in the face is required every now and then. These guys are brutal and awesome. My love for the Outlaws is also 100%, but at a level on par with these animals. You sounded hurt by my statements, just don't let any of these guys get ahold of you...

Their intent was never to start their own (rather failed) league. Their intent was to wrestle control of the NIFL from Carolyn Shiver, and then they had to scramble. The fact hindsight says "well, it was better than what the NIFL did" does not make it a great decision. Your only defense of the UIF and IFL is "well, it's better than the other leagues." That makes it simply "very crappy" instead of "total ****." And if "very crappy" is good enough for you, well...no wonder these teams have no incentive to fix problems.

The NIFL was absolutely terrible in 2004. Crooked owners all over the place, players not getting paid, many teams without insurance, the corruption from the top on down was out of control and continued on that way until it's demise. When the UIFA teams left, the few good teams (Billings, Wyoming) that remained saw how bad the NIFL had become and so did the Intense teams when they merged in 2005. I personally saw the demise of Lincoln and it was terrrible to watch. Shiver would've done the same no matter what, so you think the UIFA teams should've stayed and been subjected to that??? You're off your rocker. The UIF really didn't want to start there own league, but when Shiver wouldn't relinquish her corrupt control, they had no choice. They wanted to leave because of the mess the league was becoming, not because of a power struggle. In the end they had to relunctantly start the UIFA. Indoor football is a total mess, all the leagues are, but the UIFA was better ran the CIFL by far...not even close. AFIA?...please. There will never be a perfect league, I gave up that hope long ago, but if you can at least play your scheduled games, that's a lot better than not. Pro leagues play their games period, or they're just not even in the discussion.

Pro leagues play their games period, or they're just not even in the discussion. It was absolutely a power struggle. The struggle was because Shiver was not running things properly, but it was solely a power struggle. Had they been able to gain control of the NIFL, they would never have left. When they started the league, the goal was to get Shiver to relent to their wishes. That was the only goal of the UIF. When that didn't happen, they were forced to scramble to kick off in 2005. As poor as the UIF was for being a "this is the best we have, really?" and as far away from the pinnacle of the sport (NIFL 2003) as the UIF was, there's no arguing it ended up being the right move. It just wasn't their goal when started. It will be their goal when they leave the IFL after this season, assuming most of them don't go the AF2 route.

Outlaw I am not sensitive or a preacher and my feeling are not hurt so don't worry about that. I am just to nice and have been told that by a lot of people. But if it makes you feel better I check that at the door come game time. Heres to a comfortable win over the Ice, and 1 step closer to home field throughout!

The thing I don't understand is why you harbor ill will against those teams for leaving when they didn't have a choice? As far as what happens after this year, that's still to be determined.

The ill will has nothing to do with their reasons for leaving. It has everything to do with "how great" these leagues are that are marginally, if any, better than the other leagues. When they start showing a bit of modesty (which the IFL has finally done after being slapped down numerous times due to their own incompetence), they'll start getting a bit of a pass.
