I know it doesn't help much but Omaha has had a great season and they did some great things in the midst of a lot of distractions. Congratulations guys.

well there goes my plans for next weekend.
Looked like it was a pretty good game.
Good luck Wild in knocking off the Outlaws in a couple of weeks.
Wooten vs Rage to decide who wins the Atlantic. Very interesting storyline!

If I told you about 6 weeks ago that a Wooten led Wild would host a RC Rage team, who let him go, for the United Conference Championship would I have been banned?

-The attendance was abysmal for a playoff game. Probably half of what Omaha had been averaging from the regular season, and that wasn't a particularly impressive number to begin with.
-Salomon is just a stud, plain and simple; he made two absolutely ridiculous catches. He can't be long for this league.
-What a difference a QB makes. Wooten makes sound decisions, avoids the big mistakes, and gets the ball into the hands of his playmakers (CS and DF).
-Special Teams killed Omaha, as it has for a lot of the season. Wichita had a few really short fields, and the majority of the fieldgoals on the evening wern't even remotely close.
-The playoffs is so much about who is playing the best football right now, as opposed to who is the better team. Not to say Wichita isn't a really good team, and on par with Omaha (1-1 in the regular season), but they are playing as well as they have all year, and it really showed tonight. They controlled the tempo from the first snap, and the better team won.
Congrats to Omaha on a great season, and to Wichita for winning back to back tough road games. It will be an interesting offseason for the Omaha frontoffice and ownership. They have a lot of wounds to heal with the fanbase and personnel. The players and coaching staff fought their asses off considering some of the things they had to deal with over the course of the year.

Solomon isn't long for this league - he only came to play with his brother. He was AFL and will return to a different and "higher" league if there is one.
Don't think the wild have much priority at the arena - they alrady had to move the dates of one game this season. Think the lack of events schedules may also be indicitave of other things -- both of the two people brought in to run the arena were let go in the last two weeks. Either way - Kratos is right - Earth Wind and Fire concert isn't until the 21st. They've been all over saying they will host a home game - not sure where the possibility of a conflict came in?
