It is definately tainted. The entire season was a joke. If you can't see that, you're kidding yourself.

Give me a break, the outlaws HANDILY beat the storm. if there front office wasnt full of complete idiots this wouldnt have happened. Sure the punishment was harsh, but they only had to beat the outlaws to get into the post season, face it the outlaws team was better this year in every way shape and form, the storm athletes were not as good, as in shape, as the outlaws, and it showed in every game I watched. In the end they have noone to blame but themselves. Suck it up and move on, if there is an onward for the storm.

The storm will live to play again but I doubt the Bandits will...for crying out loud Bob wants the league to play by the rules set by the league and hell will freeze over before that happens.

It is definately tainted. The entire season was a joke. If you can't see that, you're kidding yourself. Hmmm, how do we know the Storm "problems" weren't actually happening over the past few years? Should we place asterisks over all the Storm championships knowing they only got CAUGHT this year? That is a more logical conclusion than thinking the Outlaws didn't deserve the title this year. You should take the high road, your weeping is kind of disrespectful to real Sioux Falls fans.

Put the shoe on the other foot, and picture in your mind your comments after watching the Storm defeat say, Colorado for the IFL title after Billings got ousted from the playoffs for starting practice early or something. Then tell me you would not have similar comments.
We all know if the Storm would have had a solid business model the question of paying or not paying an insurance bill, which is what we've all been led to believe is what happened,; paying the bills would not have been an issue. Then add to that the entire front office staff with any experience is gone, ticket lady "resigned" yesterday. Phones are disconnected, office allegedly moved but no signage up at the new location, email going unreturned, vendors unpaid, tax indictments of current, or former owners, no one knows...etc etc. The folks in Fort Wayne, Wheeling, etc have heard this part all before.
To me, this season, on the whole didn't live up to my expectations. This assessment has very little to do with the Storm's exploits. I'm comparing it to the first 3 seasons of the UIF, or listening to stories from NIFLville circa 2003. Seems like things continue to regress in indoor football, when the stage couldn't be any better as far as the rest of the indoor/arena world. Economics have certainly hurt things, but somehow some teams are managing to make ends meet. Billings could have won the very last indoor football league game ever, they could have won their last game ever. This is indoor football after all.

The Storm didn't play by the rules, got caught and paid the price. That is fact.
All other accusations on any team are as of yet unproven by the league, therefore remain hearsay.
I'm not exactly sure what you want BLZ. I've admitted several the Storm made an egregious error and paid an enormous price for it.

I just want you to know that because teams pay under the table Sioux City no longer has a team.

My shoe is exactly on the correct foot, thank you. My single point of annoyance is idiots not giving Billings their props for being the best team in the league this year. That fact is TOTALLY separate from the issues Sioux Falls has experienced. Billings dominated the Storm this year and that should be enough for that particular angle. If you want to add an asterisk, be smart enough to have some sort of real logic behind it.

I have given Billings all the "props" I can muster given the circumstances. Billings "dominated" the Storm in one game. The other two were close losses where the Storm failed to close the door with late leads. The Outlaws came up with key turnovers at the most critical points.
But, all in all, given the way this off season might shake out, none of it will matter next year. I think you have to excuse the Storm fans for thinking the whole thing was a joke. Our team, from a front office standpoint was a joke, and the league took rather unprecedented steps in retribution, thereby extending the joke onto the entire league.

Texxx, my original response was for stormreport and you just happened into the mix by chiming in. If you noticed over the season, every Outlaws fan on this board was supporting the Storm throughout their issues. All we get out of the deal is an asterisk. It's difficult for us to continue that support when the drowning victim is taking down the good samaritan. Believe me, like brothers, we don't want anyone beating on you guys but us. I would like to think it's both ways.
