Galveston had snow 4-5 years ago.. I remember 88. we didn't go to school for a week because if all the ice. up here they wouldn't even sand the roads for that.

Wow...20 years between snowfalls. I am surprised you got snow down there, we haven't even got it here in Omaha yet, except for a slight dusting a few weeks ago. I don't follow the weather (at all), but I had heard there was a storm coming our way a few days ago, so perhaps it shifted south and hit Texas instead. Personally, I can't stand the cold anymore, so I've made up my mind to retire to Hawaii in 2 years time.

Wow! i always thought Texas was more than warm! Maybe some cold days... BUT SNOW? Really interesting. I can talk you some Brazilian regions is changing the weather too. Like, mini hurricanes and mini earthquakes(Yes, we never had this kind of thing! Mini is too BIG to us, did you understand? lol) I can't stand the cold anymore, so I've made up my mind to retire to Hawaii in 2 years time. Are you planning to watch some... "Honolulu Run Away From Cold Indoor Football Team" playing there? hehe, joke!

Living in the mountains I'm like whatever to most of it as we've been getting snow constant since September and just last month in one day we had over 4 feet and we just keep getting foot after foot.

I guess all my indoor football watching will have to be over the internet once I make the move to Hawaii, unless they get another team in Honolulu again (that'd be nice).

I hear you. I grew up in that and used to love it. I still love skiing, but nowadays I just want the tropical climate baby.

I went over to the desert for just under three months and I got used to the over 130 temps. Now I can't stand anything under 70. The desert ruins you and you never want to see cold temps again. Well, it ruined me at least, most other people around here aren't that way, but for me...give me the extreme heat, every day!!!!!

we had a dusting a few days ago.
had some rain today, I'm hoping the roads don't ice over tonight.
I was wishing for snow on my birthday though, but it doesn't look promising at all. I heard Monday into Tuesday is when the storm will hit here!
'Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow...'

Freezing rain and snow alternating here in NE right now, falling on top of the snow already on the ground. Makes for very slushy and dangerous roads. I doubt I'll have work tomorrow. My daughter's ecstatic, she's looking forward to playing in the snow and going sledding tomorrow. Why has the Heat Miser abandoned me.
