The Pittsburgh Steelers at Baltimore Ravens game this past Sunday is how all football games should be. What a great game it was.
I only saw highlights on Sunday since it wasn't broadcast in my area, but I'm watching the replay on NFL Network right now. NFL replays are great, they cut everything out but the plays and condense the game into an hour and a half. If you don't have NFL Network, I highly recommend you get it if you can.
Anyway, the game was a hard hitting defensive struggle the entire way. How could you not love that. No finesse in this matchup, just great defense, hard hitting, and pure grit. All that was missing was a muddy field.
I've admired the Baltimore Defense for almost 10 years now, I absolutely love watching them play. Unfortunately for them they've never had a great offense to help them out, otherwise without a doubt they'd be the greatest defense in a 10 year span in NFL history. The Steelers defense this year is great, so seeing these two teams go at each other at the top of their game was a treat. Man, I'd love to be a season ticket holder in Baltimore and watch these guys play. I can't stand the Steelers, but you have to admit their defense has been lights out this year and the only reason they've been winning their games. Throw Tennessee, New York Giants, and Carolina in that mix and you have 5 great defensive teams this year and one of them is going to win the Superbowl, without a doubt.
