Back on topic... My thoughts are most successfully coaches can build a good team regardless of the rules... And most successfully organizations are that way regardless of the rules. Bottom line the rules may only effect some players / scouts perception on what is best for advancement.

Back on topic... My thoughts are most successfully coaches can build a good team regardless of the rules... And most successfully organizations are that way regardless of the rules. Bottom line the rules may only effect some players / scouts perception on what is best for advancement. I do agree gush, but look at it this way. The AFL misses out on having yet another marquee player by not featuring a real running game. Some of footballs alltime most popular players have been running backs. Jim Brown , Walter Payton. Emmit Smith. Thurman Thomas, Barry Sanders ... et al. Back in the glory days of the Ft Wayne Freedom, I used to listen to their webcast and marvel at the exploits of Rocky Harvey, their star RB. Many great RBs' helped win many a game in UIF. (just like NCAA and NFL) It makes sense to have yet one more reason for fans to come through the gates other than a whole lot of points being scored. If any other proof is required , two words ... Fred Jackson. Were it not for United Indor Football, having a real running game, it is unlikely that Fred would be on a NFL team today. Having a real running game as part of the scenario gives fans one more facet of the game to enjoy, and the franchise one more offensive star to feature in addition to their QB and WRs.

Not a huge difference? The 5th leading rusher in the UIF would be tops in the IFL. I don't see how that proves your point.

Not only that, but not all the players on the list are running backs either. I'm not saying, I'm just saying.
