Watching this one on B2 to see who has the worse field, Kent or Fairbanks....at least Kent's field is IFL regulation size

In Fairbank's defense. They told the league up front and offered to add the "out of bounds" lines, the league said just play it as it is. The extra 15 feet in width should have opened up the offense for both teams.

"out of bounds lines"? Wow, that would change the game a lot.

Not complaining about the size of the field...Just saying that it looked horrible on B2. There were gaps in the seams and it was really faded and old looking

"it was really faded and old looking" Just like Sioux Falls no wonder I've never noticed. To explain the OOB situation a touch further, in case anyone understand. An international hockey rink is 200 feet by 100 feet, a standard "nhl" rink is 200x85 So the field in Fairbanks, being an international sized rink is 15 feet, (5 yards) wider than your normal field. (24 feet wider than Sioux Falls) The Griz offered to paint lines to make the "in bounds" area of the field 85 feet wide, but the league, citing smaller than regulation fields exist, allowed them to keep their standard dimensions.

The part about being faded, that field has to be repainted after every other game as paint does not stick to it very well, I did notice this year that have put down advertising "stickers" and they seem to be holding up very well, I am sure that they are looking into doing something with the logo and other stuff on the field next year using the same process in order to get it looking better. I actually helped paint the field on time and it was a big process and did not last at all. So that explains that, the field also seperates at time which should have been fixed before the game started.

Are there any real size restrictions? Anyone seen the Storm's end zones? TINY! In a league trying to keep teams involved, forcing arena restrictions would hurt the overall cause.

Texx, did the Storm ever buy new first down markers, or do they still use a bent one?

Outlaw, did you ever see Sioux City's 3 yard endzones and Christmas tree light goalposts? All-time classics in indoor football history!

Is it still that small? I haven't really had a reason to watch a Sioux City game.
