Beef rest their meat on the Ice, by a margin of at least 25.

Beef won 39-27 (I think that was the final score...OSC has 26-21, but that's way off).
CF4L sat with me and he said the Beef were the best team he had ever seen and the IFL was the best league he's ever witnessed in all his many years of watching indoor football (and also playing with the electric football set of his youth).
This was only my fifth game of the year since I've been out of the country or too busy, way off from my usual 20-30 games a season of the past 6 years.
Sankey looked great, except for two interceptions in the second half. Jones, Avery, McCardell, and Simpson played great at wide receiver, and Burrell got some ball handling on kickoff returns. RJ Rollins had some great runs and they announced one of them that went for a TD as the play of the game. Longest continued his recent streak of flubbing PATs...sigh.
Since I have four season ticket seats on the wall I also invited a guy from work and his wife. I started sitting on the wall last year and in all that time not a single ball was thrown near me or a player gone over the wall into me or anyone with me. In the first quarter a ball went right into our area and careened off the cheek of my friend's wife, then bounced behind us and some other fan ended up with it. She was fine, but dazed that it had happened. I had told them to keep their eyes on the game because stuff like that happens and you have to be ready, but she was looking elsewhere at the time. Later in the game, a Colorado player ended in her lap, but she was fine from that as well. Later yet a ball flew over our heads out of reach, but if I had been quicker and jumped for it I might have been able to snag it. Lastly, Avery caught a pass and got knocked into the wall and ended up in their lap. He graciously handed the ball to my friend, who gave it to his wife as a thanks for putting up with all the stuff going her way...lol. They definitely won't forget their first indoor football game, that's for sure. Each time something came her way though, she wasn't looking. You can lead a horse to water...
I was way off on my prediction of the Beef winning by at least 25 points, Colorado was in the game until midway through the fourth quarter. A good game overall, especially since it resulted in a W for my team.

I never had so much action 1 time in the front row. Never had a player go over the wall on me.

Ha...I knew that'd spur a reaction. Thanks for coming up, I had a great time. Thanks for the invite. Colorado should have taken the lead in the 4th quarter put fumbled away the ball deep in Beef territory. Omaha's secondary was terrible. They really missed Grixby. Crowd was small for an Omaha crowd, but they were noisey. Overall a good game, I look forward to seeing Wichita next weekend.
