Wow. Nice job knocking off the Slaughter.
I believe Chicago backs into the playoffs even with losing since West Michigan also lost (as well as Sioux City...now officially eliminated). Even if Chicago loses next week and West Michigan wins and they end up with the same record, Chicago will get the tiebreaker since they beat them head to head back on 28 May.

I think you are right, but it still felt really good to beat them. ...especially since this was my first Away game I have been to. (typing this from the hotel in Chicago)

Away games are always more fun I think, especially when you come away with a win (and even better when it's unexpected).

Sorry, I have another rule question for you guys...
If the quarterback runs with the ball down the side of the field, and then before he gets hit... he stops running and leans against the boards 'like a wimp that is scared to be out there'... is the Defense supposed to merely touch him to end the play, or are they allowed to actually tackle him since the play is still live?
(By the way... the quotes are what I said to my wife as this happened multiple times during the game)

Don't quote me on this since the rule book isn't published, but I believe if he goes to the wall and gives himself up like he's out of bounds the ref will kill the play there. Perhaps if he's holding the ball and lets it touch the wall or hold it past the wall, is what it is.

That sounds consistent with what he was doing. Thanks. We got a penalty for tackling him anyway one of the times (though it wasn't a very hard hit). It just seemed "wrong" to me.
