Don't forget that the IFL is using Pointstreak for live stats this year. We (team statisticians) just got off of a conference call on it a few minutes ago. The web side of it is supposed to all be linked up either today or tomorrow. You'll see it on the league site for this weekend's games and then on team sites starting next week.
The good news - you should be able to pull up a live, real-time stats feed with play by play on every single IFL game.

Why does the Quick Stats still list Billings, Bloomington, Sioux City, Sioux Falls, and Wichita for 2010.
Does Pointstreak even do football?

Dunno what to say about that. 5 out of 25 does not a whole league make, though. Were those the only teams that had live stats (i.e. paid for them) in '09?
Pointstreak's been doing football for the Texas HS Coaches Association for at least one season now, so the software and web infrastructure has seen some in-game usage at the high school level.

those 5 seems about right, now that you say that. I'll await the press release and an update on the pointstreak site.

Pointstreak is a solid software app -- props to the IFL for using it.

The new stats page is linked up from the IFL site: ifl.fbstats.pointstreak.com/football/Looks like there is a little bit of test data in there that needs to be cleaned up, but looks like things are ready to go for tomorrow night.

By the way, even though we don't have a game until March 14 at Corpus, here's all of the Turfcats' links to add: Twitter: austinturfcats and @turfcatslive (constant in-game updates for those that want it) Radio: www.talkradio1370am.comWe'll also have a live blog going at Turfcats.com during each game that I hope we'll be pulling into the radio broadcast to give it some interactivity.

Nice catch Dan, didn't even notice that when I glanced at it. It's fixed in the stats app... apparently not the web side of things (yet).

Pointstreak uses DakStats program instead of Statcrew. It is somewhat funny that all the IFL and old AF2 teams used Statcrew before this deal was done.
I prefer Statcrew over Dakstats as it is a whole lot faster to input in Statcrew, reports are better and easier to pint and use, and live stats are cleaner and contain more information.
It seemed that alot of people were using Sioux City as their test team.
I didn't get told that they were going into a different direction until I had everthing ready and started to ask them about this year. Even some of the owners/GM's didn't know about the deal with Pointstreak before I started to ask around. I decided to leave the links up in case some teams use them, that way people can find them with easy.
Heck, we might use both programs for the Banidts 1st game. Plus now I don't have to stay up until Midnight waiting for the west coast games.

It doesn't matter what stats program the stat crew uses, it's useless to me if I can't get a simple game box score, or a single games worth of stats. Even more worthless is the fact that HALF of the games weren't working during the game itself. A GIANT step back, IMHO.
